Q:1 What is salvation? Salvation is a person. Most people see all the things Jesus did, and talk about those things, forgetting the relationship with the person. We love the presents from Jesus, but not the presence of Jesus. Hosea 13:6 According to their pasture, so were they filled;they were filled, and their heart was exalted; therefore have they forgotten me. (KJV) Our marriage on earth suffers the same problem, because we assume self-love is all we have to do to make others happy. But self-love only exists in a world of sin. God's love is truely relational. Such loving requires relatonships and exists between both partners, nothing to do with self, or being alone. So in order to feel love, you have to spend time responding and providing for the person. That is how Jesus as your salvation works. Sure salvation is a gift, but you must receive the gift, unpack the gift, and respond daily to that gift, growing in you. More?
