Like so:- (1) Mt 24:45 ..whom his lord hath made a ruler.. (2) Mt 24:47 ..I will make thee ruler.. (3) Mt 25:23 ..I will make thee ruler.. (4) Lu 12:14 ..Man, who made me a ruler over you? (8) Ac 7:10 ..and he made him Ruler over Egypt.. (9) Ac 7:27 Who made thee a ruler over us? (10) Ac 7:35 Who made thee a ruler? (11) Ac 17:15 And they that "ruled-over" Paul .. (12) Ro 5:19 Ro 5:19 For as by one man's disobedience many were "ruled" sinners,.. (13) Tit 1:5 ..and "ordain-rulers" .. (14) Heb 2:7 and rule him over the works of thy hands: (15) Heb 5:1 from among men is ruled for men (16) Heb 7:28 For the law "ruleth" men (17) Heb 8:3 For every high priest is "ruled" to offer (18) Jas 3:6 so "ruleth" the tongue among our members, (19) Jas 4:4 the world "rules" (as an) enemy of God (20) 2Pe 1:8 they rule you This is important to do first, but it takes time, and you must ask the Holy Spirit for guidance and help. Notice a special verse: Ro 5:19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. (KJV) Notice the fuzzy translation by the KJV. The previous verse says: Ro 5:18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; The word "condemnation" is a court ruling word, when a Judge judges something. Notice verse 19 traslated correctly: Ro 5:19 For as by one man's disobedience many were ruled sinners, so by the obedience of one Ruler many be ruled righteous. (Ancient Hebrew) When Adam sinned, there was a change in ruler over planet earth. Adam gave his crown to Satan, and Satan ruled earth. This means we are "ruled sinners" from birth, if the Nazarite vow is not established, thus we become sinners from birth. We are not born sinning, nor is our DNA with its body of flesh sinful. Sinning is a process of the mind missing out on God's power empowering your soul more and more. Thus our DNA flesh is condemned, and has dysfunctional epi-genetics in it, which can become propensities if we think and make sinful habits from those inherited genetics. Such a condition is termed by others a "fallen nature" but it is not a "sinful nature". So from birth we are either ruled by Jesus or ruled by Satan. Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. 7 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. Satan was ruler over earth, and hence allowed to visit GOD at times for meetings. Joh 12:31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. Since Jesus was victorious on the Cross, he took back the Crown of Ruling over Earth from Satan the prince, and grants eternal life to those who will support Jesus as their Ruler. Can readers see why a child like method of finding word meanings like this is important. In the NT Joseph was made ruler over Egypt (Ac 7:10). This is a helpful link for making the translation of Greek go back to the original tongue in Hebrew. Genesis 42:6 And Joseph was the governor (shalliyt) over the land,..(KJV) The pictograph readings for the Hebrew word "shalliyt", Strong's 7989, is:- "The pressed authority actively covers". This is a picture of a "ruler". Where does Scripture say to study word meanings like this? In Isaiah 28.. Isa 28:10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: (KJV) We have read and studied this verse before. It reads "God's commands upon God's command", "command upon command", "cord lines upon cord lines" , line upon line; here a little, and there a little. If you look at Hebrew written up close:- you will see script, written in straight lines. The script looks as line upon line. This is one of the dead sea scrolls showing modern Hebrew script, Notice what our Hebrew English translator says about this phrase "line upon line":- The Lord will be with you, mothers, as you try to form right habits in your children. But you must begin the training process early, or your future work will be very difficult. Teach them line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little, and there a little. Bear in mind that your children belong to God and are to become His sons and daughters. He designs that the families on earth shall be samples of the family in heaven. The Review and Herald, December 5, 1899. The phrase "line upon line" seems to be the way we teach little children, the way Scripture and the Holy Spirit teaches us, line upon line, topic upon topic, here a little, there a little, all in child like doses, one at a time. Let them not dwell too much upon doctrinal points, or upon features of our faith that will seem strange and new; but let them present the sufferings and the sacrifice of Christ; let them hold up His righteousness and reveal His grace; let them manifest His purity and holiness of character. Workers in the Southern field will need to teach the people line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little. As men and women embrace the truth in this field, there will be abundant opportunity for relieving their pressing necessities. Unless this can be done, the work will largely prove a failure. To say, be ye warmed, and be ye clothed, and be ye fed, and take no steps to bring these things to pass, will have a bad influence upon our work. Object lessons will be of far more value than mere precepts. Deeds of sympathy will be needed as well as words that will touch the heart and leave an uneffaceable impression upon the mind. Small schools should be established in many localities, and teachers who are tender and sympathetic, who can, like the Master, be touched by suffering, should be engaged to educate old and young. Let the Word of God be taught in the simplest manner. (The Southern Work, Page 49) The phrase "line upon line" seems to be the way we teach, gradually, thoroughly and simply, one theme at a time in child like doses, beginning with important themes first. This Scripture embraces much. We shall all lose a great deal, if we are not learners all the time. In the school of Christ, we can never be graduated. When we are promoted to the upper grade, we shall take with us all the true knowledge that we have learned in this life. All the learning that we have gained in becoming acquainted with God, and in being brought into sacred nearness to Him in the work of saving souls, we shall carry with us, and this will give us just that much of a start in the school above. In the education that we are now obtaining, line upon line, precept upon precept, we are just beginning to understand something about Gods requirements of us. But we fall far short of reaching the high standard that we should reach. Instead of thinking that we have already attained perfection of knowledge, constantly we are to reach forward to attain more wisdom and grace; constantly we are to endeavor to secure a more full understanding of what God requires of us, so that in the heavenly courts it can be said of us, Ye are complete in Him. [Colossians 2:10.] Ms 127, 1902 The phrase "line upon line" seems to be the way we learn from Jesus and in His Scriptures. It is interesting we will be ever learning here and in heaven for ever about His salvation for us. So if we look at the lines upon lines of pictographs in Scripture, they contain messages from Jesus. Thus we line up all the lines of other verses of Scripture with the Scripture verse we wish to know, and seek a basic meaning of the word we wish to learn from all the lines of verses we have lined up. Isa 29:11 And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed: 12 And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned. 13 Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men: (KJV) Here Scripture tells us why most find Scripture sealed and locked away, because we are drunk on our own wine, our own take on religion, following the commands and traditions of men. Isa 29:14 Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid . (KJV) Jesus promises to do a wonder , a miracle promised by Jesus. Isa 29:18 And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness. 19 The meek also shall increase their joy in the LORD, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel. Jesus promises to do a wonder , a miracle promised by Jesus. What is this miracle? The deaf hear Jesus words in Scripture. The blind read Jesus words in Scripture. The meek increase in joy from the burning passion they experience from Jesus in Scripture. Isa 29:24 They also that erred in spirit shall come to understanding, and they that murmured shall learn doctrine. (KJV) The promise is extended to those who err in spirit and those who rebel, shall come to understand Jesus from Scripture. This is a miracle of hope for all. Isa 30:8 Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever: 9 That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD: 10 Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits: The wicked priests and prophets will not hear the teachings of Jesus the LORD. Such pious people preach lies and prophesy deceits. Isa 30:19 For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: thou shalt weep no more: he will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer thee. Jesus promises to dwell with His people, you will hear His voice, and He will answer you... Isa 30:21 And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left. The Holy Spirit via our conscience allows Jesus to come as a still small voice, that we hear as a friend speaking to a friend. People drown out the "spirit of GOD" with other spirit filled sounds of Satan, such as rthymical rock music, and words of lyrics that speaks and rules over your soul. Isa 30:22 Ye shall defile also the covering of thy graven images of silver, and the ornament of thy molten images of gold: thou shalt cast them away as a menstruous cloth; thou shalt say unto it, Get thee hence. We have to get rid of our technology snares that trap us, and say "Get thee hence". Isa 30:23 Then shall he give the rain of thy seed, that thou shalt sow the ground withal; and bread of the increase of the earth,... Jesus promises as we sow Jesus as SEED, the Teachings which are similes of RAIN, also allow JESUS to grow as powers within us, changing us inside our soul, our character becomes like Jesus. Isa 30:26 Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold,... As we receive this miracle of Jesus from Scripture, our joy and power increases seven fold and our burning from Scripture increases seven fold, in fact the joy of Jesus beams very brightly in our faces... Isa 30:27 Behold, the name of the LORD cometh from far, burning with his anger, and the burden thereof is heavy: his lips are full of indignation, and his tongue as a devouring fire: Many think of Jesus as a mild, meek Being loving and kind... and Jesus is...But Jesus is also a "saraph" a Burning Being, where love burns within us devouring all our pride and guilt, and refining us as gold in the fire. Lu 24:32 And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?(KJV) The wonder of wonders in the end of time, is an increase in the Scriptures that cause a burning of Jesus within us, many miracles of His power will come to those who walk, in His Scriptures like those in the days of Acts and the Apostles. In summary, how do we know the meaning of any word? (1) First we get all the verses containing that Hebrew or Greek word. (2) Than we ask Scripture, line upon line, to tell us what English word fits all the contexts. It must be a single basic meaning. In some rare cases, words may have multiple meanings, or opposite meanings. (3) Check the meaning fits all contexts. (4) Double check with pictograph meanings, or if a Greek word, with it's Hebrew equivalent, from which the Greek was translated from. After a while any child with suitable electronic Bible software, can quickly read and understand Hebrew and Greek words using the interlinear function. Notice this technique does not use human dictionaries, or commentaries or anything else except Scripture itself. We also need the Holy Spirit to guide and teach us.
