Jesus is Adonay, Lord , Shebna symbol of pride

(111) Isa 21:16 For thus hath the Lord (Adonay) said unto me, Within a year ,), according to the years ,) of an hireling , and all the glory of Kedar shall fail :

(112) Isa 22:5 For it is a day of trouble , and of treading down , and of perplexity by the Lord (Adonay) GOD of hosts in the valley of vision , breaking down the walls , and of crying to the mountains .

LORD Adonay Jesus makes a prophecy

(113) Isa 22:12 And in that day did the Lord (Adonay) GOD of hosts call to weeping , and to mourning , and to baldness , and to girding with sackcloth :

(114) Isa 22:14 And it was revealed in mine ears by the LORD of hosts , Surely this iniquity shall not be purged from you till ye die , saith the Lord (Adonay) GOD of hosts .

(115) Isa 22:15 � Thus saith the Lord (Adonay) GOD of hosts , Go , get thee unto this treasurer , even unto Shebna , which is over the house , and say,

  • 16 What hast thou here? and whom hast thou here, that thou hast hewed thee out a sepulchre here, as he that heweth him out a sepulchre on high, and that graveth an habitation for himself in a rock (cela- symbol of Jesus)?

    Shebna was a proud Jewish treasurer who thought He could make a funeral place of rest for himself out of a "cela" rock, a symbol of pride for humans, but a symbol of Jesus for the heavenly contexts. What is interesting is this is spoken by the Lord Adonay Jesus of hosts.

    (116) Isa 25:8 He will swallow up death in victory ; and the Lord (Adonay) GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces ; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth : for the LORD hath spoken it.

    and the LORD (Adonay) YHWH will

    These verses have references in Revelation where GOD (Elohiym) wipes away all tears, as Lord Adonay Jesus raises His own to life. There are parallel references here to YHWH, Elohiym, and Adonay, suggesting they are all members of the heavenly godhead. The reference to salvation (Yeshua) references Lord Adonay Jesus of our salvation who saves us.

    (117) Isa 28:2 Behold, the Lord (Adonay) hath a mighty and strong one , which as a tempest of hail and a destroying storm , as a flood of mighty waters overflowing , shall cast down to the earth with the hand .

    .. Behold, the LORD (Adonay) hath..

    (118) Isa 28:16 Therefore thus saith the Lord (Adonay) GOD , Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone , a tried stone , a precious corner stone, a sure foundation : he that believeth shall not make haste .

    Here is yet more proof that Adonay YHWH refers to Lord Jesus. Notice the reference to the chief corner stone that was rejected by builders...

  • Isa 28:16 Therefore thus saith the Lord (adonay) GOD (YHWH), Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone (eben), a tried stone (eben), a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.

  • Eph 2:20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone
  • Eph 2:21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
  • 1Pe 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones (lithos), are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

    Notice in the Old Testament, the corner stone is 'eben' and not 'cela'. Why ? Because the stones are symbols of human individuals who are framed upon Jesus, and become symbols of His temple. It is intesteresting that the Lord Adonay Jesus of hosts is speaking of Himself doing this prophecy on the Cross, this action is a symbol of the cheif corner stone for others to build their salvation temples upon.

    (119) Isa 28:22 Now therefore be ye not mockers , lest your bands be made strong : for I have heard from the Lord (Adonay) GOD of hosts a consumption , even determined upon the whole earth .

    .... for I have heard from the LORD (Adonay) YHWH of hosts..

    (120) Isa 29:13 Wherefore the Lord (Adonay) said , Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth , and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men :

    ..Wherefore the LORD (Adonay) said ..

    Reference to New Testament, proving 'Adonay' is a reference to Lord Adonay Jesus...

  • Isa 29:13 Wherefore the Lord (Lord Adonay Jesus) said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:
  • Mt 15:8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
  • Mt 15:9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

    The Jews fail to accept the Lord Adonay of Jesus in the Old Testament, is here among them walkign before them as the New Testament.
