earthly Dad is a Lord over his humble home

(121) 2Sa 4:8 And they brought the head of Ishbosheth unto David to Hebron , and said to the king , Behold the head of Ishbosheth the son of Saul thine enemy , which sought thy life ; and the LORD hath avenged my lord (adown) the king this day of Saul , and of his seed .

The use of 'adown' is aligning more with 'lord' than with 'master'... One must not downgrade the ruling of an earthy king, let alone a heavenly king...Lord is more appropriate... Is not an earthly dad a 'Pastor king' or 'Lord' over his little home, his queen the ruler of his children, and he the ruler or lord over his family... What would the term 'master' convey ? A downgrade of ruling power...even for a husband over his home.

(122) 2Sa 9:9 � Then the king called to Ziba , Saul's servant , and said unto him, I have given unto thy master's (adown) son all that pertained to Saul and to all his house .

(123) 2Sa 9:10 Thou therefore, and thy sons , and thy servants , shall till the land for him, and thou shalt bring in the fruits, that thy master's (adown) son may have food to eat : but Mephibosheth thy master's (adown) son shall eat bread alway at my table . Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants .
