Q:12 The Steps of Christ Show 'Steps To Christ' is inspired. Chapter : What to Do with Doubt Ellen p. 105" Many, especially those who are young in the Christian life, are at times troubled with the suggestions of skepticism. There are in the Bible many things which they cannot explain, or even understand, and Satan employs these to shake their faith in the Scriptures as a revelation from God. They ask, “How shall I know the right way? If the Bible is indeed the word of God, how can I be freed from these doubts and perplexities?” There is no Hebrew word meaning 'doubt', so one who doubts does not take God at His word. Ps 33:6 By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath (ruwach) "Holy Spirit" of his mouth.(KJV) Jesus spoke the word, and the Holy Spirit administrating the Father's power, responded to those words Jesus spoke, and creative powers were unleashed from Jesus' hand. Hab 3:4 And his brightness was as the light; he had horns coming out of his hand: and there was the hiding of his power. So support seeds spiritually. Ellen p. 105" God never asks us to believe, without giving sufficient evidence upon which to base our faith. His existence, His character, the truthfulness of His word, are all established by testimony that appeals to our reason; and this testimony is abundant. Yet God has never removed the possibility of doubt. Our faith must rest upon evidence, not demonstration. Those who wish to doubt will have opportunity; while those who really desire to know the truth will find plenty of evidence on which to rest their faith. Faith is the hope of powers we cannot see, but they are real and affect you when they come over you. The evidence of supporting Jesus is when He supports you back with a flow of His power in your life. Such a flow is always after you support His words, often immediate. But at other times, the promised flow takes time to fruit, even years (such as Acts 16:31). Do not seek signs of His power to exalt self. Jesus will not be party to self or pride. One must be always humble and meek. His wonders flow through you for His Father's glory, not to make you famous or fabulous. Beware of success and flattery. Evidence can be destructive in the hands of mockers. Ellen p. 107" The very humblest forms of life present a problem that the wisest of philosophers is powerless to explain. Everywhere are wonders beyond our ken. Should we then be surprised to find that in the spiritual world also there are mysteries that we cannot fathom? The difficulty lies solely in the weakness and narrowness of the human mind. God has given us in the Scriptures sufficient evidence of their divine character, and we are not to doubt His word because we cannot understand all the mysteries of His providence. "Sowing Seeds" specifcally as support is a mystery of the second birth experience by the Holy Spirit. You speak in Jesus Name, with His Words, and the creative powers of the Holy Spirit bring it into affect. We cannot expect to understand all the mysteries. Ellen p. 108" Because they cannot fathom all its mysteries, the skeptic and the infidel reject God’s word; and not all who profess to believe the Bible are free from danger on this point. The apostle says, “Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.” Hebrews 3:12. It is right to study closely the teachings of the Bible and to search into “the deep things of God” so far as they are revealed in Scripture . 1 Corinthians 2:10. While “the secret things belong unto the Lord our God,” “those things which are revealed belong unto us.” Deuteronomy 29:29. Be ever learning, every amazed and full of praise for the Eternal. Ellen p. 109" If it were possible for created beings to attain to a full understanding of God and His works, then, having reached this point, there would be for them no further discovery of truth, no growth in knowledge, no further development of mind or heart. God would no longer be supreme; and man, having reached the limit of knowledge and attainment, would cease to advance. Let us thank God that it is not so. God is infinite; in Him are “all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” Colossians 2:3. There are different levels of Mathematics to explain the abstract mysteries of GOD, and higher levels of learning. There is no end of learning about the eternal infinite uncaused Cause. Ellen p. 112" Do you ask why I believe in Jesus? Because He is to me a divine Saviour. Why do I believe the Bible? Because I have found it to be the voice of God to my soul.” Our answer to mockers is Jesus does wonders in me daily. It is a great joy to commune with Him. God's not dead. I feelim all over me.. How does the Steps of Christ continue in Hosea or Yashua? Yashua 12:1 Ephraim feedeth on "Holy Spirit" wind, and followeth after the east wind:.. Both assemblies, Ephraim and Judah have wandered from GOD seeking a different spirit, rather than the Holy Spirit fully. Yashua12:8 And Ephraim said, Yet I am become rich, I have found me out substance: in all my labours they shall find none iniquity in me that were sin. 12:9 And I that am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt will yet make thee to dwell in tabernacles, as in the days of the solemn feast. One church assembly boasts they are rich and in need of nothing. The practice their sinning and Jesus forgives them through the feasts. Modern churches follow their own human ideas, doing the same thing to Jesus, even today. Re 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: Despite what churches say the Lord's Ordinance is a Feast, and practicing the Lord's feast or the camp meeting tabernacles feast, does GOD favour us ? Other poetry smiles such as comparing the Church to Jacob in OT times, the Author is not sure of. Jacob was deceived often in his life, he is perhaps a major simile of "doubt"? All throughout his life, He made things happen with his own Baal powers of effort, rather than supporting God's promises. But there are examples Jacob also supported GOD despite his failings.
