wisdom as similes of a woman or church or Jerusalem

(191) Re 17:9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom (chokmah) . The seven heads are seven mountains , on which the woman sitteth .

..here is the mind which hath wisdom (chokmah)..

The city here is Rome, and context is a Church (woman) in Rome, refers to the Roman Catholic church.

Notice a church is a simile of a woman, as a city is a simile of a woman, or mother.

Some say the Mother is only Jerusalem.

Ga 4:26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

Greek thinking see things as nouns, Hebrew thinking is about verbs. A city in heaven is not as important as the people who are there loving and being loved. A city is about people. Church is about people. A mother also implies a father, thus we have providers of love and reponders to love, both kinds of people.

Paul is talking about two Responders here, the followers of Jesus wanted to do His words in their own Baal master powers of self, and so Jesus did not disappoint them , and gave them ten commandment rules they could do in their own human power, became bondage to the law, and to sin-offerings from that law. Hagar is the woman who made them slaves to their sinning.

The other woman is born differently, supporting the teachings, using Jesus to empower her children, who follow them not by Baal master powers of self, but by Jesus powers flowing through them. This is an entirely different process, but it uses the same teachings, and the same ten commandment directions for living only the power of doing is different.

Ga 5:3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.

4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith (amanuah) "suppport".

So we no longer follow the ten commandments or the entire teachings of Jesus in the OT and NT using our Baal master powers of self.

Instead we follow the ten commandments and the entire teachings of Jesus in the OT and NT using the powers of Jesus flowing through us when we support His words. Jesus is the word personfied, and His words have creative power in them. Jesus as Jesus spoke the words and the Holy Spirit did as His words said, so we can live in Jesus powers, by supporting His words.

If you do not understand this Hebrew word "amanuah", see a very different, but Hebrew presentation of faith explained correctly.
