Jacob's moral worth was functional, not dysfunctional

The idea of ploughing properly or ploughing improperly

Notice the parallel to sowing wickedness, genetic expressions or propensities for wickedness.

(5) Job 5:6 Although affliction (aven) cometh not forth of the dust , neither doth trouble spring out of the ground ;

Although dysfunction (aven) cometh not forth of the dust...

A poetry comment that suggests genetic propensities for dysfunction did not come from GOD who made all genetics from the dust of the ground, thus we have to look for dysfunctional genes elsewhere..

(6) Job 11:11 For he knoweth vain men : he seeth wickedness (aven) also; will he not then consider it?

he seeth dysfunction (aven) also;

(7) Job 11:14 If iniquity (aven) be in thine hand , put it far away , and let not wickedness dwell in thy tabernacles .

This is our first major clue to genetic expression because of the Hebrew word "yalad" here meaning to "born" something. Genetic dysfunctional expression can be born, in other words inherited genetically. This does not mean all bad moral behaviour overrides our cognitive choices, but it does suggest there is a genetic propensity for evil, if our cognitive mind chooses to follow our genotype.

(9) Job 21:19 God layeth up his iniquity (aven) for his children : he rewardeth him, and he shall know it.

God layeth up his genetic functional propensities (aven) for his children..

Since this poetry comment is written in the negative, it also has a contrasting positive as well.

What we need to see is how the genetic potential in all of us is expressed depends much upon us, our parents and our environment we respond to.

When the verse says God layeth up genetic dysfunction, does that mean God is the author of bad genes or propensities to evil ? No.

Isa 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil "ra" (dysfunction): I the LORD do all these things.

God is the Administrator of good and bad affects in our universe, but He is not the Author of dysfunction, even though He sustains the observational affects of dysfunction.

  • Mt 13:39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil;
  • Re 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world

    The enemy of GOD and His created world who engineers functional plants to become weeds is Satan. Therefore changing the genetic expression of genes to become dysfunctional in their expression is engineered by Satan. There would be some natural dysfunctional changes caused by radiation and genetic copying mistakes, and there would also be deliberate changes to gene expression to make organisms become dysfunctional. The only way GOD who foresaw Satan engineering his word of spoiling God's work of functional expression, and thus allow mankind time for development of character upon the earth to run naturally for a limited time, would have been for GOD to engineer enormous complexity within the DNA complex sequenced information, so that Satanic and human agencies could not completely understand it, and with complex redundancies built into the biological systems, allow them to work functionally despite the messing up of their network of systems.
