People are tested by their fruit.. Self indulgent people are generally selfish,
and produce no good fruit or make leaves. Leaves are symbols of self-powered
self righteousness.
God makes us bear fruits unto Him through tribulation, for only tribulation
makes fruit trees and grains and vegetables make fruit. Some trials are stronger
and harder than others, but we have to trust Him who lovingly does
what is best for us. Shalom
