The two rocks of salvation, tsuwr and cela rock, the tried and tested stone

Q58: 65. "The Temple Cleansed Again"

Show the Desire of Ages is inspired..

(1) The stone tried and tested...

For use in the foundation, one stone of unusual size andpeculiar shape had been brought; but the workmen could find no place for it, and would not accept it. Itwas an annoyance to them as it lay unused in their way. Long it remained a rejected stone. But whenthe builders came to the laying of the corner, they searched for a long time to find a stone of sufficientsize and strength, and of the proper shape, to take that particular place, and bear the great weight whichwould rest upon it. Should they make an unwise choice for this important place, the safety of the entirebuilding would be endangered. They must find a stone capable of resisting the influence of the sun, offrost, and of tempest. Several stones had at different times been chosen, but under the pressure ofimmense weights they had crumbled to pieces. Others could not bear the test of the sudden atmosphericchanges. But at last attention was called to the stone so long rejected. It had been exposed to the air, tosun and storm, without revealing the slightest crack. The builders examined this stone. It had borneevery test but one. If it could bear the test of severe pressure, they decided to accept it for thecornerstone. The trial was made. The stone was accepted, brought to its assigned position, and found tobe an exact fit. In prophetic vision, Isaiah was shown that this stone was a symbol of Christ. He says:"Sanctify the Lord of hosts Himself; and let Him be your fear, and let Him be your dread. And He shallbe for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offense to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

Isa 28:16 Therefore thus saith the Lord (Adonay) GOD (Jesus-YHWH) , Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone (Aben), a tried stone (Aben), a precious corner (stone), a sure foundation: he that believeth (aman) "supports me" shall not make haste.

Notice Jesus describes Himself as the

"Aben" the "strong house over the nations", the foundation of families in His Name, whoever supports Him are saved.

For more How to support Jesus

Isa 8:14 And he (Jesus) shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone (Aben) of stumbling and for a rock (Tsuwr) "Father rock" of offence to both the houses of Israel

Notice the passages the SOP quotes includes two Hebrew words for stone, one is a symbol of Jesus, who continues the Father's house over the earth, as "Aben" the tried stone; and the other is the symbol of the Father, the "tsuwr" foundation bedrock.

Son "house over the nations"

Stone "strong house over the nations"

These pictures are similes of each other:-

1Pe 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

Just as the Father is a foundation bedrock to built His Son as salvation over the nations on earth, as an eternal member of the heavenly family, so Jesus is now our foundation of salvation upon which we are living stones which build up Jesus' church and sanctuary of the Holy Spirit.

(2) The Father lays the foundation..

In infinite wisdom, God chose the foundation stone, and laid it Himself. He called it "a surefoundation." The entire world may lay upon it their burdens and griefs; it can endure them all. Withperfect safety they may build upon it. Christ is a "tried stone." Those who trust in Him, He neverdisappoints. He has borne every test. He has endured the pressure

of Adam's guilt, and the guilt of his posterity, and has come off more than conqueror of the powers ofevil. He has borne the burdens cast upon Him by every repenting sinner. In Christ the guilty heart hasfound relief. He is the sure foundation.

Notice this picture discovered by Ron Wyatt, is the actual rock Moses spoke to, that caused water flow out from the deep foundations of the Father rock.

(3) A fantastic declaration..

In Isaiah's prophecy, Christ is declared to be both a sure foundation and a stone of stumbling. Theapostle Peter, writing by inspiration of the Holy Spirit, clearly shows to whom Christ is a foundationstone, and to whom a rock of offense:

1Pe 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God (Elohiiym) by Jesus Christ.

  • 6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
  • 7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone (Aben) which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
  • 8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word (Greek logus) "symbol of Jesus", being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

The SOP is declaring, along with Peter, that Jesus functions as both "tsuwr" and "cela" rocks.

This does not mean Christ is the Father, but that Jesus functions as our Father functions. Is there a declaration for this strange combination of harmony?

Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Jesus comes to earth born of humanity to become a "literal father of making nations for eternity", hence the foundation from which believers are saved. Shalom
