Father most High,

Q41: 48. Who Is the Greatest?

Show the Desire of Ages is inspired..

(1) Referencing the Most High

The strife for the highestplace was the outworking of that same spirit which was the beginning of the great controversy in theworlds above, and which had brought Christ from heaven to die. There rose up before Him a vision ofLucifer, the "son of the morning," in glory surpassing all the angels that surround the throne, and unitedin closest ties to the Son of God. Lucifer had said, "I will be like the Most High" (Isa. 14:12, 14);Had Lucifer really desired to be like the Most High, he would never have desertedhis appointed place in heaven; for the spirit of the Most High is manifested in unselfish ministry.Lucifer desired God's power, but not His character

Notice the SOP does not reference the Most High, as the Father here, but as Elohiym's power. This proves that the "Most High" or "Father" is not alone, but that there are other members within the Godhead (Elohiym) such as the Holy Spirit.

Notice these verses for "most high":-

Ps 21:7 For the king trusteth in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.

The most high (Father) is a parallel to Father-YHWH, who shows mercy.

Ps 46:4 [There is] a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy [place] of the tabernacles of the most High.

The Father most high lives in a tabernacle temple, near a river that divides into streams. Eden also had a river that parted into four river heads. Elohiym means the heavenly Father whose powers flow. Notice this flow parts into other streams.

Ps 57:2 I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth [all things] for me.

The reader cannot see the Hebrew: I cry unto Elohiym, the most high Father or Strong Authority, that doeth for me. Notice the way the Father most high is addressed.

Ps 78:35 And they remembered that God [was] their rock, and the high God their redeemer.

Interesting here that Elohiym is a foundation rock (tsuwr), the most high Father our kinsman redeemer.

Ps 82:6 I have said, Ye [are] gods; and all of you [are] children of the most High.

Humans were made a litte lower than Elohiym, and are children of the most high Father.

Ps 83:18 That [men] may know that thou, whose name alone [is] JEHOVAH, [art] the most high over all the earth.

Most high Father YHWH alone is over the earth.

Ps 89:27 Also I will make him [my] firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.

The term "higher" does not always reference our heavenly Father, but always means "higher" or "most high".

Ps 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty "Shadday".

The Father most high, is a parallel to another functional Being, the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit carries the Father's light in a diluted sense , as a "shadow", so dwelling in the shadow of the Shadday is a simile of dwelling in the presence of the Most High Father.

Notice these verses for "Yahh":-

Ex 15:2 The LORD "Yahh" [is] my strength and song, and he is become my salvation (yeshua) "Yeshua": he [is] my God (el)"Strong Authority" , and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's God "Elohiym", and I will exalt him.

Let's study Yahh, and see who this "Yeshua" is...

Ps 89:8 O LORD (YHWH) God (Elohiym) of hosts, who [is] a strong LORD "Yahh" like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness (emuwnah) round about thee?

YHWH of Elohiym has an army of hosts, who support (emuwnah) YHWH, one Being is Yahh.

Ps 89:26 He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father(ab), my God (el) "Strong Authority", and the rock(tsuwr) "foundation Father rock" of my salvation (yeshua) "Yeshua Jesus".

The Father and Son are very close together as a unit involved in our salvation. Some religions say the Father does everything all alone, but the writings are not that simple.

Ps 94:12  Blessed [is] the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD "Yahh", and teachest him out of thy law (torah)"teachings";

Interesting that Yahh is our teacher of His teachings.

Ps 104:35 Let the sinners (chata)"missing" be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless thou the LORD (YHWH), O my soul. Praise ye the LORD "Yahh".

A parallel line makes YHWH into a simile of Yahh, and it is YHWH who creates the earth for man. Yahh deals with sinners, those missing relationship.

  • Ps 118:1 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever.
  • 2 Let Israel now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.
  • 3 Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.
  • 4 Let them now that fear the LORD say, that his mercy endureth for ever.
  • 5 I called upon the LORD (yahh) in distress: the LORD(yahh) answered me, and set me in a large place.
  • 6 The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?
  • 7 The LORD taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me.

    ..

  • 14 The LORD(Yahh) is my strength and song, and is become my salvation (yeshua) "yeshua Jesus".
  • 15 The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.

Notice the Father YHWH has another Being, His Son, at His right hand, as the high priest like Aaron's house, bringing salvation to the "straight" or "righteous".

  • 16 The right hand of the LORD is exalted: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.
  • 17 I shall not die, but live(chayah) "ongoing living", and declare the works of the LORD (Yahh) "Yeshua Jesus" .
  • 18 The LORD (Yahh) "Yeshua Jesus" hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death.
  • 19 Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the LORD "Father YHWH"20 This gate of the LORD "Father YHWH" 21 I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation (yeshua) "yeshus Jesus".
  • 22 The stone(eben) which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.
  • 23 This is the LORD'S doing; it is marvellous in our eyes. (KJV)

How can anyone not see the term "Yah" is a contracted form from "Yah wah" the "YHWH" where we have two strong Authorities working together for our salvation.

    The Sacred NAME

Hebrew people would not write or pronounce the sacred NAME for GOD. It is often spelt as Yahwah. The word means in the Ancient Hebrew script ... "Behold ! I AM secure. Behold ! I AM active." What is interesting in the Sacred NAME is the presence of two persons who exist .

    (2) Relationship of a child

The Spirit of Prophecy says ...

It was not enough for the disciples of Jesus to be instructed as to the nature of His kingdom. What theyneeded was a change of heart that would bring them into harmony with its principles. Calling a littlechild to Him, Jesus set him in the midst of them; then tenderly folding the little one in His arms Hesaid, " Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom ofheaven." The simplicity, the self-forgetfulness, and the confiding love of a little child are the attributesthat Heaven values. These are the characteristics of real greatness.

Our relationship to Jesus, must be "master/child", we must have child like support for His words, and Jesus must be the Big Strong Authority in our lives.A little child has simplicity, love and complete trust in our heavenly master of our soul.

Notice when Jesus says ye must be as a little child to be saved, He is automatically speaking about relationship....most children on our earth live with families, and depend upon relationships for support and well being.

    (3) Referencing the salt

In the ritual service, salt was added to every sacrifice. This, like the offering of incense, signified thatonly the righteousness of Christ could make the service acceptable to God. Referring to this practice,Jesus said, "Every sacrifice shall be salted with salt." "Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one withanother." All who would present themselves "a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God" (Rom.12:1), must receive the saving salt, the righteousness of our Saviour. Then they become "the salt of theearth," restraining evil among men, as salt preserves from corruption. Matt. 5:13. But if the salt has lostits savor; if there is only a profession of godliness, without the love of Christ, there is no power forgood. The life can exert no saving influence upon the world. Your energy and efficiency in theupbuilding of My kingdom, Jesus says, depend upon your receiving of My Spirit. You must bepartakers of My grace, in order to be a savor of life unto life.

Notice the Hebrew like puns the S OP uses, "in order to be a savor of life unto life" is a parallel to saying "in order to support our Saviour of life unto life"

Salt is a power factor of Jesus, given to His own, to help support Jesus' giving life unto life, in the world.

The term "our energy" is a reference to "our soul", the Hebrew word "nephesh" means "energy"...which is a fresh supply daily from GOD given to us, that allows us to become "living energy". Thus our soul becomes "relationship", the continual co-operation of dust with divine, we have the ability to think and use this energy for GOD.

The term "saving salt" is another pun, because our "Saviour's salt saves souls" if we allow this "Saving Salt" from our Saviour to savor us.

How clever and exciting the writings of the SOP is ! is really the words of Jesus, penned by Ellen White.

    (4) Referencing the Saviour

Let the repenting sinner fix his eyes upon "the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world"(John 1:29); and by beholding, he becomes changed. His fear is turned to joy, his doubts to hope.Gratitude springs up. The stony heart is broken. A tide of love sweeps into the soul. Christ is in him awell of water springing up unto everlasting life. When we see Jesus, a Man of Sorrows and acquaintedwith grief, working to save the lost, slighted, scorned, derided, driven from city to city till His missionwas accomplished; when we behold Him in Gethsemane, sweating great drops of blood, and on thecross dying in agony,--when we see this, self will no longer clamor to be recognized. Looking untoJesus, we shall be ashamed of our coldness, our lethargy, our self-seeking.

How beautiful are these words, yet does our reader know the Hebrew meanings behind these words of love?

Read the passage of the SOP again, than read this humble attempt to expand upon these golden gems of truth...

    Let the repenting "turning homeward" sinner"missing relationship " fix his eyes " what being meek means"upon "the Lamb of God,"If Elohiym has a Lamb, we have a Parent/Child picture figure here " which taketh away the sin "sin-offering - those who have confessed their sins unto Jesus "of the world"(John 1:29);

and by beholding"A Hebrew word meaning Behold the Being ! ", he becomes changed "relationship changes a person coupled to the coupling ". His fear "because missing we are afraid "is turned to joy"a different fear of joyous respect for relationship ", his doubts"when we have no support " to hope "when we finally support Jesus' words with our mouth of doing ".

Gratitude springs up"We are eternally grateful for relationship ". The stony"symbol of pride - a person without relationship, all alone" heart "where our thoughts come from "is broken "we are weathered into soil, we allow a relationship to live again in us ". A tide of love sweeps into the soul.

Christ is in him awell of water springing up unto everlasting life. " Jesus becomes our source of power "

The Author will stop here since my understanding of Hebrew is limited, the reader gets the drift. Such is the beauty of the words of the SOP.
