Plants grow using food and water. (1) Food is a simile of the Father's words personified in Jesus as our Saviour. Pr 30:4 Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell? 5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. This verse has all three members of the Divine Family, but only He is referenced as our Saviour, the Son's Name, who's love continues over the nations of earth, to save us humans. Jesus has lived personally by every word of the Father in Scripture, so we must also walk as Jesus walked. 1Pe 2:21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: (2) Water is a simile of the Holy Spirit bringing us the showers of GOD, to empower the words of Scripture, so the powers of Jesus grow inside of us. Ex 16:4 Then said the LORD unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.(KJV) "rain bread" is a funny saying. It's a powerful poetry picture of why Scripture Seeds are important to us, and how we daily support GOD by supporting His words. More? Prayer Promises |
