What happens if I love doing my own thing ?

Q8: What happens if I love doing my own thing ?

Pr 26:11 As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly.

The Bible tells it straight. We may give Jesus a try but soon we return to the Baal religion of using our own "self powered" authority. We are hypocrites and sow our seeds among Satan as well as Jesus. The Bible says we would have been better off not knowing about Jesus' power from the beginning. Jesus expects obedience and willing servants, not wicked and "self powered" ones. I find myself experiencing this "self powered" Baal religion thing a lot in my life.

Notice what Peter says about this : 2Pe 2:21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. 2Pe 2:22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

Now Jesus knows we backslide ignorantly into sinning and sow our seeds among Satan as our "self powered" authority. But Jesus is loving compassionate and kind. He is wanting to train us into the right way to go. He has an objective in mind, that we shall become overcomers from all forms of sinning, so the good things of Jesus can flow to the sinner, now in Him completely.

So do not worry about the future before you have tried the present. Give your will to Jesus today, right now. Do not worry about how the change turns out, or if you fail in using Jesus' power in your mind all the time. FEAR is Fabricated Experiences Appear Real. Don't let Satan make you doubt that Jesus cannot do what He says to do ! Do not let discouragement stop you from being willing.

I fail every day with Jesus, yet He talks to me still, walks with me still. And when I talk to Jesus He always says, " if you remain obedient, I will save you..and call you as my special one (saint - a poor translation)"...So I remain obedient to His pleading in my conscience, and listen out for the still small voice of Jesus talking in my mind. Do not resist the calling. "Behold I stand at the door of your home (the home of your mind) and knock if any person hears my knocking and opens the door of his mind's home I will come in and sup with him." How can we resist such a calling ? Shalom
