Rebuttal against trinity truth, those who say the Holy Spirit is the spirit of the Father or Son, proving the Holy Spirit is a co-eternal Being

Q66: 73. "Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled"

Show the Desire of Ages is inspired..

(1) Father and Son co-operate ..

"Let not your heart be troubled," He said; "ye believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's houseare many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I goand prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself; that were I am, there yemay be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know." For your sake I came into the world. Iam working in your behalf. When I go away, I shall still work earnestly for you. I came into the worldto reveal Myself to you, that you might believe. I go to the Father to co-operate with Him in yourbehalf. The object of Christ's departure was the opposite of what the disciples feared. It did not mean afinal separation. He was going to prepare a place for them, that He might come again, and receive themunto Himself. While He was building mansions for them, they were to build characters after the divinesimilitude.

Notice how the SOP uplifts the community aspect of Salvation. Our salvation is based upon relationship.

Joh 14:8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.

Amazed at his dullness of comprehension, Christ asked with pained surprise, "Have I been so long timewith you, and yet hast thou not known Me, Philip?" Is it possible that you do not see the Father in theworks He does through Me? Do you not believe that I came to testify of the Father? "How sayest thouthen, Show us the Father?" "He that hath seen Me hath seen the Father."

Notice how the SOP presents relational love flowing from the Father, via the Holy Spirit, through Jesus, to the disciples. Salvation is a community concept based on relationship. That is how love as a circuit works.

(2) Is the Holy Spirit just the spirit of the Father?

The Spirit of Prophecy says ...

God was manifested in Him that He might be manifested in them. Jesusrevealed no qualities, and exercised no powers, that men may not have through faith in Him. Hisperfect humanity is that which all His followers may possess, if they will be in subjection to God as Hewas.

Let's translate this into Hebrew, just to show readers something profound:

God ( Elohiym- Father, Son and Holy Spirit) was manifested in Him that He might be manifested in them. Jesusrevealed no qualities, and exercised no powers, that men may not have through faith in Him. Hisperfect humanity is that which all His followers may possess, if they will be in subjection to

God ( Elohiym....- Father, Son and Holy Spirit)

as Hewas..

Some theories of faith, suggest the Holy Spirit is a "spirit" of the Father or the Son. Thus in their doctrine such a theory of faith has only TWO co-eternal Beings, manifested as three heavenly Persons; the Holy Spirit is the "Personal spirit" of the Father, in this context. Is this what the SOP wanted to say here ?

"The Father was manifested in Jesus that the Father might be manifested in them. Jesus revealed no qualities, and exercised no powers, that men may not have through faith in Jesus. His perfect humanity is that which all His followers may possess, if they will be in subjection to the Father as He was".

If there really are only TWO co-eternal Beings as some theories of faith suggest, why is the SOP and the Bible written with more complexity? The SOP word "God" does not mean Father or Father and Son, it means "heavenly family of power" and includes the "Father, Son and Holy Spirit" and is an English translation of the Hebrew word "elohiym".

"And greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto My Father." By this Christ did not mean that the disciples' work would be of a more exalted character than His, but that it would have greater extent. He did not refer merely to miracle working, but to all that would take place under the working of the Holy Spirit.

Notice the SOP writes consistently all the time in this context referring to both the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Now there are some contexts where one can show the Holy Spirit is a "spirit" of the Father or Son, if we isolate context from the SOP.

We want the Holy Spirit, which is Jesus Christ.{Lt66-1894.18}

This context is a private letter written by Ellen White, and was not chosen by her for publication to the common people. Thus it is not available on the White Estate, but is available on the EGW Writings website.

The passage suggests the Holy Spirit is Jesus Christ.

But notice the fuller context:

The Lord is soon to come. We want that complete and perfect understanding which the Lord alone can give. It is not safe to catch the spirit from another. We want the Holy Spirit, which is Jesus Christ. If we commune with God, we shall have strength and grace and efficiency. {Lt66-1894.18}

The SOP is speaking of Elohiym, the family of God, not just Jesus alone and the Holy Spirit alone.

If we go back to the Desire of Ages, in this chapter we are studying as a whole context, it is safer to read publications the SOP intended for the "common man".

The Author will highlight "this statement from the SOP, into the Desire of Ages, to show the reader harmony, that the "Holy Spirit "is" Jesus Christ"

Before offering Himself as the sacrificial victim, Christ sought for the most essential and complete giftto bestow upon His followers, a gift that

Page 669

would bring within their reach the boundless resources of grace. "I will pray the Father," He said, "and

He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever; even the Spirit of truth;whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him: but ye know Him; forHe dwelleth with you , and shall be in you. I will not leave you orphans: I will come to you." John14:16-18, margin.

Before this the Spirit had been in the world; from the very beginning of the work of redemption He hadbeen moving upon men's hearts. But while Christ was on earth, the disciples had desired no otherhelper. Not until they were deprived of His presence would they feel their need of the Spirit, and thenHe would come.

The Holy Spirit is Christ's representative, but divested of the personality of humanity, and independentthereof. Cumbered with humanity, Christ could not be in every place personally. Therefore it was fortheir interest that He should go to the Father, and send the Spirit to be His successor on earth.

The Author hopes the colour highlighting makes things clearer to read. The Comforter sent by Jesus was His character that allows Jesus to be everywhere in every human being if they choose, while Jesus Himself retains His human body as the High Priest. This does not mean the Holy Spirit is Jesus as a Being, but that the Holy Spirit as an independent co-eternal Being, is presenting Jesus' character to all who desire Jesus.

Here is another SOP passage that clearly explains the functional role of the Holy Spirit:

What constitutes the sin against the Holy Ghost? It is willfully attributing to Satan the work of the Holy Spirit.

For example, suppose that one is a witness of the special work of the Spirit of God. He has convincing evidence that the work is in harmony with the Scriptures, and the Spirit witnesses with his spirit that it is of God. Afterward, however, he falls under temptation; pride, self-sufficiency, or some other evil trait, controls him; and rejecting all the evidence of its divine character, he declares that that which he had before acknowledged to be the power of the Holy Spirit was the power of Satan. It is through the medium of His Spirit that God works upon the human heart; and when men willfully reject the Spirit and declare it to be from Satan, they cut off the channel by which God can communicate with them. By denying the evidence which God has been pleased to give them, they shut out the light which had been shining in their hearts, and as the result they are left in darkness. Thus the words of Christ are verified: If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! Matthew 6:23

For a time, persons who have committed this sin may appear to be children of God; but when circumstances arise to develop character and show what manner of spirit they are of, it will be found that they are on the enemys ground, standing under his black banner.92 {CCh 81.1}

The reader will notice the Holy Spirit, functions as a medium, through which GOD communicates to mankind via the channel of the Holy Spirit.

So these false theories of faith, twist SOP and Scripture, because the work of the Holy Spirit seems to be devoid of "as an independent co-eternal Being". The Holy Spirit is a simile of "wind"which is a channel of air through which energy flows and communicates with our senses, but seems to be "devoid as an independent co-eternal Being".

So the real question for such false theories of faith is this: "Is the functional work of the Holy Spirit conducted by a co-eternal independent Being, like the Father and Son"?

Notice this SOP, which contrasts the functional presence of Satan upon mankind:

He is an idolater. The powers, which, sanctified and ennobled, might be employed to honor God, are weakened, and rendered of little service. An irritable temper, a confused brain, and unstrung nerves are among the results of his disregard of natures laws. He is inefficient and unreliable. Whoever has the courage and honesty to warn him of danger, thereby incurs his displeasure. The slightest remonstrance or opposition is sufficient to rouse his combative spirit. But now an opportunity is presented to seek help from one whose power comes through the medium of witchcraft. To this source he applies with eagerness, freely expending time and money in the hope of securing the proffered boon. He is deceived, infatuated. The sorcerers power is made the theme of praise, and others are influenced to seek his aid. Thus the God of Israel is dishonored, while Satans power is revered and exalted. {CTBH 114.1}

Some might ask why colour the medium of witchcraft and the phrase combative spiritthe same colour as the "It is through the medium of His Spirit that God works upon the human heart; and when men willfully reject the Spirit and declare it to be from Satan.."BOTH are coloured green? The Old Testament speaks about an "Evil spirit" in Saul, and uses the same Hebrew word for "holy Spirit".This does not mean the Holy Spirit does evil, but administrates "evil" if we choose to want this. Is there a Bible text for this idea?

Isa 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.(KJV)

Notice if some of us have a combative spirit coming from the medium of witchcraft, is this a "spirit" or "Being" of Satan? or are there other Beings acting as channels of communication through which the "character of Satan" flows to mankind? The obvious answer, is the "medium of a combative spirit of Satan" is administrated by evil angels of Satan living in those people, who invite them into their lives, thus these angels are real heavenly Beings, helping Satan achieve "His omnipresence".

So this analogy is a simile of how the Holy Spirit functionally presents the Father's character or Jesus' character to be created in us if we choose this. There is a co-eternal Being administrating this character change. But the Holy Spirit is different from "Satan's omnipresence". The Holy Spirit administrates personally in all living things the "power of God" as the "breath of life",and personally administrates the "character of mankind" who choose the salvation offered by God, via Jesus our Saviour. How this is achieved is a mystery, and a mystery is not something unknown, but hidden from mankind. There is a person al functional descriptor or "Name" given to the Holy Spirit, but this is not translated by the King James Version. This is why the SOP says the nature of the Holy Spirit is a mystery and silence is golden.

For those who want more:

See studies of the Hebrew word Shadday.

See studies where the SOP links the Holy Spirit with the Shadday.

Now for the "common man" the Author will present another strong point, why there is an independent co-eternal Being, the Holy Spirit.

Have a look carefully at this picture and consider how shadows are made.

Notice in order to make a shadow, you need Two Beings, one acting as a light source and the other acting as a solid shape to partially block the light source, causing a shadow effect.Simple enough for the "common man"?

Ps 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

  • 4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.(KJV)

There is an amazing hymn "Under His wings, I am safely abiding..."

Does the Father have wings as a simile of a bird? That's what the KJV is saying, and these verses are translated correctly.

No but the Holy Spirit has wings as a simile of a bird.

If we make the reference of "Almighty" into a kind of reference to the Father or Most High, than how do we explain how shadows are made? If the shadow is made by the Father's light being blocked by the person of the Father Himself, as some theories of faith might say, since they say the spirit of the Father is the Holy Spirit, than such a shaped object has to be solid to cause the shadow effect, we have thus Two Beings as a Father. But if we allow the Shadday to be a Being independent from the Most High, but close to the Most High, we have two co-eternal Beings, and shadows are explained easily.

Some might say the Son blocks the Father's light and causes the shadow effect, and hence they are referenced as "Almighty"... perhaps.

Pr 6:20 My son, keep thy father's commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother:

  • 21 Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck.
  • 22 When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.
  • 23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:

This passage translated correctly in the KJV, tells us the Father's ten commandments are very important, but so is the "mothers laws of life".We know Jesus was sent from the Father to be a light to the Father's ten commandments, thus Jesus is functioning as a "mother".

Is there a Scripture context of Jesus functioning as a "mother" ? Yes.

Isa 49:15 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.

  • 16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me (KJV)

Ga 4:26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.(KJV)

Mt 23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!(KJV)

Jerusalem is a symbol of a "mother", the "city of the saved" , a "feminine bride to Jesus our groom".

We also see Jesus functioning as "mother" bringing us "nurture" "comfort" and "fellow ship" as a "mother" does.

So if Jesus is functioning as a "mother" does that make Jesus "express femaleness love" often? No. Jesus expresses "maleness-love" often, because Jesus' personality is mostly composed of maleness-love.

The Author does not use the terms "gender male" or "gender female" because in heaven and the new earth, such functions are switched off. There is no Scripture reference linking the Father or Jesus as "Gender male". But there is a Hebrew word "ahab" saying the Father and the Son are showing mostly "maleness-love" as a personality. But the personality differences arising from "maleness love" and "femaleness love" is different, and can cause different personalities in the new earth.

The "common man" does not realize there are two Hebrew words for love, and both of these words are differently expressed in gender males and gender females.

Is there a heavenly Being expressing mostly "femaleness-love" than?

In order to show this for the "common man" without looking deeply into the Hebrew,we have to investigate carefully this verse Jesus spoke in the New Testament:

Mt 23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!(KJV)

The question for the "common man" is where does this verse come from in the Old Testament, because Jesus is quoting an OT passage?

De 32:11 As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:

This is probably the OT verse Jesus quoted in the NT, "I have gathered thy children together, even as a bird gathereth her birdlings under her wings, and ye would not!"Here we see a feminine eagle and her young in her wings, quoted by Jesus as a simile of His love for His young under His wings.

Where else do these kind of verses exist?

  • Ge 1:2 And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
  • Hos 4:19 The wind hath bound her up in her wings,...(KJV)
  • Mt 3:16 .. and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:

Only in these three verses are further examples of "her wings" "moving or fluttering like a bird" and "like a dove",suggest different pictures of the Holy Spirit. But these are similes of how Jesus cares for His young under His wings too?

So the question we must ask is there a third co-eternal Being like Jesus, who functions more with "femaleness-love"?

The common man cannot read the Hebrew behind the English translations, but Jesus can, and He asked the SOP to be an English translation of the Hebrew,so let's ask the SOP for clarity with the Hebrew, the common man cannot easily read:

    The angel of mercy was then folding her wings to step down from the golden throne to give place to justice and swift-coming judgment. But Christ's great heart of love still pleaded for Jerusalem, that had scorned His mercies, despised His warnings, and was about to imbrue her hands in His blood." {DA 577.3}

Here the angel of mercy is near the throne of Jesus ( a major clue). N otice Jerusalem imbrues her hands in Jesus blood because she rejects Jesus. Proof that Ellen White's English is actually Hebrew, the grammar for Jerusalem in Hebrew is "she" or "feminine in case".

Notice who this angel near the throne might be:-

Eze 1:24 And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters, as the

  • voice of the Almighty (SHAD DAY),
  • the voice of speech, as the noise of an host: when they stood, they let down their wings.

25 And there was a voice from the firmament that was over their heads, when they stood, and had let down their wings.

26 And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it.

Comparing SOP with Ezekiel's vision, we see an 'angel with wings' as the Shadday, and the appearance of a 'man' upon the throne as LORD-Jesus.

    "A terrible conflict is before us. We are nearing the battle of the great day of God Almighty (Shadday). That which has been held in control is to be let loose. The angel of mercy is folding her wings, preparing to step down from the throne and leave the world to the control of Satan. .--RH May 13, 1902. {LDE 250.1}

If Ellen White writes Hebrew-English, than "God Almighty" is a reference to "Elohiym Shadday".

For more: SOP "angel of mercy" and "her wings"

    (3) The other Comforter

Before offering Himself as the sacrificial victim, Christ sought for the most essential and complete giftto bestow upon His followers, a gift that

    Page 669

would bring within their reach the boundless resources of grace. " I will pray the Father," He said, "and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever; even the Spirit of truth;whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him: but ye know Him; for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you orphans: I will come to you." John14:16-18, margin.

Before this the Spirit had been in the world; from the very beginning of the work of redemption He hadbeen moving upon men's hearts. But while Christ was on earth, the disciples had desired no otherhelper. Not until they were deprived of His presence would they feel their need of the Spirit, and then He would come.

The Holy Spirit is Christ's representative, but divested of the personality of humanity, and independentthereof. Cumbered with humanity, Christ could not be in every place personally. Therefore it was fortheir interest that He should go to the Father, and send the Spirit to be His successor on earth.

False theories of faith claim the Greek wor d another (allos) means "other of the same kind" while the Greek word (heteros) which means "other of a different kind", thus say "other Comforter" is Jesus in the "spirit form" of Himself (quoted from trinitytruth.org). If that was the case how can Jesus be cumbered with humanity, also be able to express His omnipresence still among mankind with the "spirit of His presence", makes no sense, and destroys the eternal cost of His sacrifice by being cumbered with humanity, Jesus cannot be omnipresent, thus the cost of sacrifice for sinners was an eternal sacrifice as far as Jesus is concerned.

The SOP reference to " and send the Spirit to be His successor on earth" tells us that the Holy Spirit is different to Jesus because it is His successor.

For the reader, here are some contexts of "heretos and allos":-

  • Mt 8:21 And another (heteros) of his disciples
  • Mt 12:45 Then ... taketh ... seven other (heteros) spirits more wicked...
  • Lu 4:43 to other (heteros) cities
  • Lu 6:6 on another (heteros) sabbath
  • Joh 19:37 And again another (heteros) scripture saith
  • 1Co 3:4 For while one saith , I am of Paul ; and another (heteros), I am of Apollos
  • 1Co 12:9 To another (heteros) faith by the same Spirit
  • Mt 2:12 they departed into their own country another (allos) way
  • Mt 4:21 he saw other (allos) two brethren , James the son of Zebedee , and John his brother
  • Mt 13:24 Another (allos)parable put he forth
  • Mt 16:14 Some say that thou art John the Baptist : some (allos), Elias ; and others (heteros), Jeremias , or one of the prophets

Here is a context with both "allos" and "heteros" in the same verse: Let's look are many translations of this verse:-

Mt 16:14 (KJV) And they said, Some [say that thou art] John the Baptist: some (allos), Elias; and others (heteros), Jeremias, or one of the prophets.

Mt 16:14 (ASV) And they said, Some [say] John the Baptist; some (allos), Elijah; and others (heteros), Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.

Mt 16:14 (BBE) And they said, Some say, John the Baptist; some (allos), Elijah; and others (heteros), Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.p>Mt 16:14 (DBY) And they said, Some, John the baptist; and others (allos), Elias; and others (heteros) again, Jeremias or one of the prophets.

Mt 16:14 (MKJV) And they said, Some [say], John the Baptist; some (allos), Elijah; and others (heteros), Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.

Mt 16:14 (MNT) They replied, "Some say 'John the Baptist'; others (allos), however, say that 'He is Elijah'; others (heteros), 'Jeremiah,' or 'One of the Prophets.'"

Mt 16:14 (NKJV) So they said, "Some [say] John the Baptist, some (allos) Elijah, and others (heteros) Jeremiah or one of the prophets."

Mt 16:14 (RSV) And they said, "Some say John the Baptist, others (allos) say Elijah, and oth ers (heteros)Jeremiah or one of the prophets."

Mt 16:14 (TCNT) "Some say John the Baptist," they answered, "others (allos), however, say that he is Elijah, while others (heteros) again say Jeremiah, or one of the Prophets."

Mt 16:14 (WEB) They said, "Some say John the Baptizer, some (allos), Elijah, and others (heteros), Jeremiah, or one of the prophets."

Mt 16:14 (WNT) "Some say John the Baptist," they replied; "others (allos) Elijah; others (heteros) Jeremiah or one of the Prophets."

Mt 16:14 (YLT) and they said, `Some, John the Baptist, and others (allos), Elijah, and others (heteros), Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.'

What Jeff Benner says in Ancient Hebrew Research Center:-

He agrees with DBY, MNT, RSV, TCNT, WNT, and YLT; that allos and heteros are two Greek words from the Hebrew word ahhar, essentially saying the same thing, meaning "Other"

Some false theories of faith state "Because Christ's Spirit can function independently of Himself, it is like His Spirit" (quoted from trinitytruth.org).

If as these false theories of faith claim, that Christ's Spirit can function independently of Himself, it is like His Spirit, there should be a functional descriptor in Hebrew or Greek stating this function of Jesus. But there is none, other than "ruwach" or "pneumia" which is an OT function to "wind of the Holy Spirit".

There is however a functional Name given to a heavenly Being, in which the Holy Spirit is an agency of a "spirit".This functional Name is Shadday, a Hebrew word meaning "pressed to the breast with active hands".

Job 33:4 The Spirit (ruwach- Holy Spirit wind) of God (el - strong authority) hath made me, and the breath (nashamah- literal wind) of the Almighty (Shadday) hath given me life.

Such a verse as a poetry parallel makes a simile that the Holy Spirit functions as the Shadday. Thus there are two functional expressions to the same heavenly Being, or duality if you like, since Elohiym is a simile of light, must therefore express duality, whatever that term means.

But what the SOP makes clear is the Son of God cannot do this because Jesus is cumbered with humanity.

    Futhermore the SOP says:-

By the Spirit the Saviour would be accessible to all. In this sense He would be nearer to them than if He had not ascended on high.

By the Spirit, He said, He would manifest Himself to them. "The Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things." No more will you say, I cannot comprehend. No longer will you see through a glass, darkly. You shall "be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge." Eph. 3:18, 19.

Many people, including SDA believers see the work of the Holy Spirit as a "he", and this is correct, but this does not make the Holy Spirit "gender male" or "express mostly maleness-love". The "he" is the Father and the Son, and their message or teachings come to us via the Scriptures presented to us via the Holy Spirit. The highlighted colour yellow is a "community" reference .

If you want to investigate the na ture of .. the Holy Spirit as an independent Being, you have to search for Scripture and SOP references where the Holy Spirit is functioning alone, without the Father's or Son's presence. Such references are rare, but they do exist, if you go digging.

    (4) The Holy Spirit as a "He" is a Community Reference..

The Spirit was to quicken their

    Page 671

understanding, that they might have an appreciation of heavenly things. "When He, the Spirit of truth,is come," said Jesus, " He will guide you into all truth."

The Comforter is called " the Spirit of truth." His work is to define and maintain the truth. He firstdwells in the heart as the Spirit of truth, and thus He becomes the Comforter. There is comfort andpeace in the truth, but no real peace or comfort can be found in falsehood. It is through false theoriesand traditions that Satan gains his power over the mind. By directing men to false standards, hemisshapes the character. Through the Scriptures the Holy Spirit speaks to the mind, and impresses truthupon the heart. Thus He exposes error, and expels it from the soul. It is by the Spirit of truth, workingthrough the word of God, that Christ subdues His chosen people to Himself.

People find this community reference thing confusing...There are two Comforters in Scripture, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit represents Jesus character to us, and thus allows Jesus to live personally in all believers through the agency of the Holy Spirit. The teachings in Scripture are the words of the Father and Jesus, they come to us via the prompting and tutoring of the Holy Spirit.

What is difficult for humans in English to understand is how Hebrew in a community system works in a family. If a family community system works together only the masculine pronoun "he" is used to describe the work of all members in the family, even though the work of a father or mother are equally important, only the work of a father is referenced. Any outsiders coming to the family tent, had to address the father of the tent, his wife was never addressed directly. That is how Hebrew works in a community. While we read the SOP in English, we are assuming the English follows English culture, but this is NOT the case. Jesus chose Ellen White to write His Hebrew into English, and this is what the SOP is, for those living at the end of time, the SOP is a Hebrew translation into English, for those affected by the universal language to understand what the Bible truthfully says.

Do you have Bible verses backing up this strange claim of making a "she and he" into a "he" ?

Eze 22:10 In thee have they discovered their fathers' nakedness: in thee have they humbled her that was set apart for pollution.(KJV)

Sadly the Adonay Jesus comments upon the Pastors of His church shedding blood and vexing His saints...notice the father's nakedness (he) when they humble her (his wife)..

Lev 18:8 The nakedness of thy father's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father's nakedness.

Here in stronger terms the Holy Writings say a "he r nakedness is his nakedness".

Remember the analogy of Jesus functioning as a mother, a community effort, only the "he" is referenced?

De 32:11 As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:

This is a reference to Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

Pr 8:27 When he prepared the heavens, I was there:

This is a reference to Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Creation was a community effort, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.Wisdom is the "I" here, personified by the Holy Spirit as "she", a "woman" even though the "words of wisdom" as the "words of truth" come from the Father and Son, it is a "community" concept, so the "he" is referenced.

Here is another community reference: "her wings is referenced as his wings"

  • Ps 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
  • 4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings...

If you don't like these findings, than the Father has wings like a bird? But we know the Holy Spirit functions this way...

Here is another community reference: "her femaleness-love is referenced as his love"

  • Isa 63:9 In all their affliction he was afflicted ,
  • and the messenger (malak) of his presence saved them:
  • in his love (ahabah) and in his pity he redeemed them;

Here we see the Holy Spirit femaleness-loving those Jesus redeems, but the expression is one of co-operation.

Elohiym is community. Really folks salvation is a community effort based always on relationship. The word "relationship" is a "community concept" as well.

    (5) The Holy Spirit as the Third Person of the Godhead

In describing to His disciples the office work of the Holy Spirit, Jesus sought to inspire them with thejoy and hope that inspired His own heart. He rejoiced because of the abundant help He had providedfor His church. The Holy Spirit was the highest of all gifts that He could solicit from His Father for theexaltation of His people. The Spirit was to be given as a regenerating agent, and without this thesacrifice of Christ would have been of no avail. The power of evil had been strengthening for centuries, and the submission of men to this satanic captivity was amazing. Sin could be resisted and overcomeonly through the mighty agency of the Third Person of the Godhead, who would come with nomodified energy, but in the fullness of divine power. It is the Spirit that makes effectual what has beenwrought out by the world's Redeemer.

False theories say "person" is a different meaning to "Being". You make up your own mind by studying the matter carefully.

    (6) How to receive Jesus..

Christ has promised the gift of the Holy Spirit to His church, and the promise belongs to us as much as to the fir st disciples. But like every other promise, it is given on conditions. There are many who believe and profess to claim the Lord's promise; they talk about Christ and about the Holy Spirit, yet receive no benefit. They do not surrender the soul to be guided and controlled by the divine agencies. We cannot use the Holy Spirit. The Spirit is to use us. Through the Spirit God works in His people "to will and to do of His good pleasure." Phil. 2:13. But many will not submit to this. They want to manage themselves. This is why they do not receive the heavenly gift. Only to those who wait humbly upon God, who watch for His guidance and grace, is the Spirit given.

In order to receive Jesus daily into our heart we have to submit or surrender to the control agency of the Holy Spirit, who presents Jesus' character to us. Instead we want to manage affairs ourselves. Shalom
