Q25: 32. . . The Centurion Show the Desire of Ages is inspired.. (1) Amazing faith in Jesus.. The centurion did not question the Saviour's power. He did not even askHim to come in person to perform the miracle. "Speak the word only," he said, "and my servant shallbe healed." He believed thatJesus could heal him. He had not seen the Saviour, but the reports he heard had inspired him with faith. "When Jesus heard these things, He marveled at him, and turned Him about, and said unto the peoplethat followed Him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel." And to thecenturion He said, "As thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in theselfsame hour." It is thus that every sinner may come to Christ. "Not by works of righteousness which we have done,but according to His mercy He saved us." Titus 3:5. When Satan tells you that you are a sinner, andcannot hope to receive blessing from God, tell him that Christ came into the world to save sinners. Definition of faith: Heb 11:1 � Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Those of trmendous faith: Heb 11:7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. 8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. Heb 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Heb 12:4 � Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin. 5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: Those who had zero faith: Heb 12:16 Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. Heb 12:17 For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears. Faith is a gift of GOD, so the redeemed can survive the relationship with GOD, to make you fireproof. Faith is a firey power from GOD: Heb 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire.(KJV) The centurian had tremendous faith in Jesus, more than all of Israel. He believed in the power of words, because he was used to using his own words of power to command others under him is a chain of command. But he saw in Jesus a great chain of command, and thus the command of life and death. What faith the man had in Jesus! Those who had zero faith: Heb 12:16 Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. Heb 12:17 For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears. Esau was a fornicator because he wanted meat, to satisfy a craving in his brain, thus he fell to the addiction of his carnal nature. This story is contrasting those who have no faith, even though they pray in tears, G OD does not hear them because of the wrong choices of eating they make. And this story is NOTHING compared to the modern times of food addictions we have today...meat laced with sugar, fat and salt...all strong drug like compounds that inflame the brain, and cause sinning in your mind... The first step for the sinner to get some measure of faith, we must overcome the weeds that choke out the seeds of faith we might sow in Jesus... There are choices we can make and do...avoid addictions of food....change your lifestyle of eating... seek to remove those things that destroy your choice and your will to choose... For our GOD is a consuming fire, and to endure the faith of GOD, we need to become fire-proof. For more, see the latter rain of Jesus. Shalom Fornication on the mind BEGINS with poor food choices:- The Jesus SEED must be FREED if the relationship is to SUCCEED.. Ps 66:18 If I regard iniquity (aven - propensities) in my heart, the Lord (Adonay - Jesus) will not hear me: Jesus does not hear our prayers if we allow our propensites to continue growing in us. We have to ask Jesus to control and subdue our flesh propensities, our sinful habits, our diseased minds of depravity. So do not allow WEED to IMPEDE Jesus' power. Shalom Eating home grown food, does NOT inflame the brain with fornication. The Holy Writings links the brain and the sins of thoughts with actions of sexual depravity, with physical eating of food that is bad for you. Food laced with fat, toasted cheese sandwiches, meat burgers, and fried potato chips soaked in cancer causing cooking oil. Food laced with sugar and fat, such as icecream and chocolate cake. Food laced with salt and fat, such as meat fried in cancer causing oil. The devil and the food manufacturing industry know such food combinations are bad for you, but they also inflame the brain and heart with injuries. They cause food fornication with addictions that lead to sexual depravity: Notice what Paul says about church goers who eat too much of the wrong food: 1Co 5:11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, ... with such an one no not to eat. 1Co 6:13 Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body. Notice what Paul says food fornication, and how bad food is the first stage of sin, even for church goers. 1Co 6:11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. There is hope for even church goers if we are washed and made straight again by Jesus. But we also need to understand as the one in relationship with Jesus, we have the power of will to choose correctly the foods we eat.
