Hebrew construct state dealing with Divine Names of GOD

Q10: Scripture Secrets : Divine Names..

Scholars have invented special cases of translation when dealing with special nouns side by side. This is called a Hebrew construct state, but really it is an excuse to translate precepts of men and follow their own traditions.

So what do we do with Divine Nouns or words of Divine Names side by side?

The first problem is seeing a Divine Name... how do we know what to look for?

Jews who wrote OT Scripture did not see Jesus as Yashuah when He came in the flesh, even though Moses told them Yashuah would come.

So how you look for Divine Names?

The Author recommends the scroll of Job as our first place to look. Why? This scroll is oldest, written near the time of the flood when dinosaurs roamed commonly with man, and contains the oldest and uncommon Hebrew with their meanings.

Job was not a Jew, only a Hebrew descendent of Eber, and Moses wrote the poetry story for us to read.

Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

There are four special Beings in this verse:

"BeN" Strong's 1121. Pictographs read: "The home over the nations".

"elohiym" Strong's 430. Pictographs read: "The strong authority secure. Behold the Being! flows".

"YHWH" Strong's 3068. Pictographs read: "The active person. The secure person".

"Satan" Strong's 7854. Pictographs read: "The sin or thorns cover over the nations".

The first Picture: "home over the nations" can refer to any member of GOD's home over the nations, such as princes from other worlds, or special angels, not necessarily biological sons and daughters of earthly parents.

The second Picture: "The strong authority secure. Behold the Being! flows", is a special Being of strong authority whose power flows.

The third Pcture: "The active person. The secure person" has two divine Beings in it, or one Divine Being who is both active and secure. Which is it?

Ge 19:24 Then the LORD (YHWH) rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD (YHWH) out of heaven;

This verse confirms the "Sacred Name" refers to two "masculine" Beings, "the active Son. the secure Father".

The fourth Picture: Pictographs read: "The sin or thorns cover over the nations". The thorn letter is a simile of missing God's power, and a simile of dysfunction or sin. This issue of missing God's power first started in Satan:

Eze 28:15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. Eze 28:16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub (karuwb), from the midst of the stones of fire.

Eze 28:17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: .. (KJV)

What is a "(karuwb)"?

Nu 7:89 And when Moses was gone into the tabernacle of the congregation to speak with him, then he heard the voice of one speaking unto him from off the mercy seat that was upon the ark of testimony, from between the two cherubims (karuwb): and he spake unto him.(KJV)

A karuwb is a special angel like Being that dwells on either side of GOD where He sits in heaven.

2Sa 22:11 And he (YHWH or God) rode upon a cherub (karuwb), and did fly: and he was seen up on the wings of the wind (ruwach).

GOD rides upon these special angel like Beings, and one especially is a simile looking and functioning as the Holy Spirit, or wind, or "ruwach".

Job 3:4 Let that day be darkness; let not God (eloah) regard it from above,

Job speaks of his torment from Satan, but praises "eloah".. Who is "eloah"?

"eloah" Strong's 433. Pictographs read: "The strong authority secure. Behold the Being!".

Job 4:9 By the blast of God (eloah) they perish,

  • and by the breath (ruwach) of his nostrils are they consumed.

Here is a poetry parallel showing similes. The power of Eloah is a simile of the wind of Ruwach.

Job 5:17 Behold, happy is the man whom God (eloah) correcteth:

  • therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty(shadday):

Here is a poetry parallel showing similes. The discipline of Eloah is a simile of the chastening of the Shadday.

    Who is the Shadday?

"Shadday" Strong's 7706. Pictographs read: "The pressed door (is) active".

Eze 23:21 Thus thou calledst to remembrance the lewdness of thy youth, in bruising thy teats by the Egyptians for the paps of thy youth. (KJV)

Notice the KJV has trouble with translating correctly some words here:

Eze 23:21 Thus thou calledst to remembrance the lewdness of thy youth, in bruising thy breasts (dad) by the Egyptians for the teats (shad) of thy youth. (Ancient Hebrew)

"DaD" Strong's 1717. Pictographs read: "The two doors swing".

The picture of the two door picture letters, seems like a rare use of Hebrew showing us a pictured noun, rather than more commonly a pictured verb. A door is a picture concealing something behind it. Here we have breasts as two doors of mystery.

"ShaD" Strong's 7699. Pictographs read: "The pressed door" Here is a pictured verb, or action. The pressed door opens its flow and nourishment or support flows from within the opened door. We wrongly assume all pictures only refer to earth pictures and earth experiences. We need also remember GOD, who is not matter, but is trying to show us pictures of His functions as matter, in pictures we can understand.

For example, poetry pictures have many levels of seeing. The Being with two doors may refer to the former milk and the latter milk of powers from the Divine Family. When you press upon the door of a heavenly Provider or heavenly Responder, you receive a milky flow of power from the Divine Family.

God uses pictures of matter on earth to show us functions of GOD that is beyond matter alone. The calf "presses on the door" and receives "support". This is a picture of how spiritual salvation works, if you "press on the doors" of heaven, you receive "support" as a flow of power from GOD. Try to see Scripure as a literal system of showing pictures based on matter, about the GREAT I AM, who is not based on matter, time or space, is all powerful and invisible, yet one can sense GOD as an intense burning of living energy.

Pagans worshipped the SON as a simile of the SUN for a reason. The Divine Family is a simile of the Sun. Now if mere mortals climb in flimsy metal craft and move a little closer to the sun on their way to the moon, they perish from X-rays, gamma rays and UV rays, these are special intense rays of light as a Family of intense burning. Do not get the idea just because Science cannot understand energy, that energy is GOD. We have no idea, no mathematics for even formulating light travelling at the speed of light, as infinite mass, but weightless. In other words, science makes up formulas to suit, because we simply do not know. So in your q uest to know GOD, be nothing but a humble, meek follower, and desire the simple things. Do not attempt to know anything more about the GREAT I AM, but have fun learning about GOD.

That is a little insight, now back to Job and his poetry pictures.

Job 6:4 For the arrows of the Almighty (shadday) are within me, the poison whereof drinketh up my spirit:

  • the terrors of God (ELOAH) do set themselves in array against me.

    Another poetry simile:

The wounding caused by the Shadday is a simile of the terrors of Eloah.

Job 8:3 Doth God (al) pervert judgment? or doth the Almighty (Shadday) pervert justice?

    A poetry simile:

The strong authority is a reference to a single member Being, this is a simile of the Shadday.

Job 11:7 Canst thou by searching find out God?

  • canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection?

    A poetry simile:

Some scholars mock and say eloah and shadday are different titles of GOD overall? Does this make sense?

Job 33:4 The Spirit (ruwach) of God (al) hath made me,

  • and the breath of the Almighty (shadday) hath given me life.

    A poetry simile:

The ruwach is a strong authority that is a simile of the Shadday as a personal Being.

The Hebrew-English translator, the SOP says

In order to strengthen our confidence in God, Christ teaches us to address Him by a new name, a name entwined with the dearest associations of the human heart. He gives us the privilege of calling the infinite God our Father. "Asking to Give By Ellen G. White"

Old and new Name for Father

So if our Provider (father) had an old Name, as the Hebrew English translator says, we should go looking for it.This Name in Job is "eloah". But Jews, who are not allowed to read the NT, miss the only definition of elohiym there:

Eph 3:14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

  • 15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
  • 16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

This is the only place in the Bible where Elohiym, is written as Father, Holy Spirit and Son, in context of a heavenly family.

    For more, see

    (1) Holy Spirit.

    (2) God is a heavenly family

    (3) The Godhead as a Family

    (4) Family of Jesus

    So in summary we have:

    Our Father or Provider
    Old Name New Name
    Eloah Ab

And for the other heavenly parent:

    Our Mother or Responder
    Old Name New Name
    Shadday Ruwach

Why two functional descriptors of members of GOD? Because light also has duality functions. When GOD as a source of power comes near you and touches you, the power we receive changes, so we are not destroyed in the presence of GOD. For more see

Duality: God is a simile of light

Now let's get back to the problem of dealing with the Hebrew construct state, whatever that term means..

    (1) Jesus in the Old Testament

    (2) Hebrew names of Jesus Christ

    (3) Jesus Christ named in OT

    (4) three Hebrew words naming Jesus in OT

    (5) Hebrew construct state

The above hyerlinks show the translation problems nicely as detailed examples.

A brief summary is placed here:

Hyperlink (1) Shows that Elohiym is a family flow of power.

    (1) In Exodus 22:8, when you see a judge, you see one of several persons who are also a judge, but their "family power" is the authority to be a single source of power and authority over you. It does not matter which person the judge was that day...the same "family power" judged you that day.

    (2) In Genesis 20:13, The "family powers" caused Abram to wander from his father's house.

    (3) In Exodus 7:1, when YHWH made Moses into "Elohiym" before Pharoah, Moses came to Pharoah as a "family power" speaking before Pharoah with the Authority and Power that belongs to the Father alone. It does not matter if different persons represent the Father, the same "family power" flowed from the Father, via Moses to Pharaoh. Note also Moses and Aaron were brothers, a simile of a real family on earth.

    (4) In Exodus 32:4, the pagan worship of "elohiym", such as when Israel made a golden calf, this idol represented "elohiym". The deity was only a single idol, but the object represented a "family deity of powers". The first letter of Hebrew is a "bull" that represents the "strong Family authority", hence why they fashioned the image.

    (5) In Genesis 1:1, "The whole family" engineered the heavens and the earth. "The member of the Family chosen for this act was Jesus, but all the Family powers flow via Him (masculine He singular in grammar).

    (6) In Genesis 1:26, The members of the Family, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, are all present as "us" and "they make mankind in their image" (Just remember in Hebrew a Family is considered one Being, referenced as masculine He singular)

    (7) In Genesis 1:27, The "masculine He singular" creates mankind "gender male" and "gender female" as two personalities of loving, but in Hebrew this is considered "one Being". The "femaleness-love" was built out of Adam, not created out of Adam. The components were already inside Adam. This is a picture simile of the Family of Elohiym, when Elohiym made mankind a little lower than Elohiym ( Psalms 8:5)

Prayer 12:1 Yashua Yahweh; the godly man ceaseth; for the "support" fails from among the children of men (Ancient Hebrew)

Consider the Hebrew names of Jesus Christ. The Hebrew Name for Jesus is Yashua, which is the Hebrew word for "rescue or save" in the verb form, or "Saviour" in the noun form. There is also a Hebrew word "Yeshua" translated as "salvation" also used as a simile for the Name of Jesus. The other Names for Jesus, is YHWH, the one who exists. This is a functional descriptor for both the Father and Jesus, so context allows us to discern whom is whom, and sometimes both Persons are referenced at the same time, because the members of the Elohiym Family are a united unit. The other Name for Jesus, is Christ, which in Hebrew means anointed. This is because Jesus Christ was to be anointed as a King over the redeemed, and thus from a Hebrew word, "BN" the family love of Elohiym continues in the heavenly home. Also the Hebrew word "BR" the "home head" of Jesus continues over the redeemed as well as their King, and Saviour and LORD.

Ps 20:9 Yashua YHWH King, hear us when we call.(Ancient Hebrew)

Can the reader see the NAMES of Jesus now in Hebrew in the Old Testament. Such names of Jesus in the OT will be much more present in the NT

Comparing the OT "imrah" of "Jesus-personified" with this NT context of "imrah" we see "Jesus-personifed" as the WORD.

For more, see Study of imrah or memrah

Some doubt, saying the Words were the words of the Father, that came to us in the NT is the creation of an earthly son... Doubt if you want to, but this is not what the Scriptures says... When Hebrew names something as a Person, they are named with Verbs that become character names of the Person. Eg:-

Ge 5:29 And he called his name Noah (Nacham), saying, This same shall comfort (nacham) us...

Nacham is a verb, it becomes a name when used for Noah.

Ge 30:13 And Leah said, Happy am I, for the daughters will call me blessed (asher): and she called his name Asher (asher).

Asher is a verb, it becomes a name when used for Asher.

Ho 1:6 And she conceived again, and bare a daughter. And God said unto him, Call her name Loruhamah (Lo' Ruchamah): for I will no more have mercy (racham) upon the house of Israel; but I will utterly take them away.

Racham is a Verb/Noun and used for a name for Lo'Rachamah.

Mt 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Yashua: for he shall save (yasha) his people from their sins.

Yashua is a verb, it becomes a name when used for Jesus (Yashua).

Mt 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Emmanuel is a phrase that means God with us.

These examples are some of the easy ones to show you, the Hebrew used verbs to name the character of the Person born into the world. So if we read in the OT the Verb Yasha, we also need to see if this is a reference to Jesus as well.

Ps 20:6 Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand. (KJV)

What do we do with three Divine nouns side by side in Hebrew?

Let's read the pictographs: "The active Son. The secure Father. The active pressing looks. The flow presses actively outside."

So what are these pictogrpahs picturing? An Active Son and His Father. The Active Son presses his eyes to see, and look for people needing GOD's salvation. The flow of the Father pressed by the Son is active outside.

Get the idea how pictrograph reading of Scripture, make more sense than reading words alone?

So this so called "Hebrew contract state" is used by scholars who make scholarship our of their translation, and you get the precepts and traditions of men, as Scripture says you do...

Isa 29:12 And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned. 13 Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:

So how does the Author translate this prayer line of David?

Prayer 20:6 Now know I that YHWH Jesus Christ; will hear from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand. (Ancient Hebrew)

    Hyperlink (4) Shows :-

Ps 29:1 Give unto the LORD, O ye mighty , give unto the LORD glory and strength. (KJV)

The KJV does not even translate one of these three Hebrew words, side by side.

Let's read the pictographs: "The active Son. The secure Father. The home over the nations. The strong Authority." Maybe the Author is wrong here, but it appears the pictures are all pictured nouns, rather than action pictures.

The translators when seeing Hebrew nouns side by side often feel it necessary to add flowing words like "of" to allow the Hebrew words make sense. See how we follow precepts and traditions of men?

So a possible translation of this prayer line is:-

Ps 29:1 Give unto YHWH the Son of Strong Authority, give unto the LORD-Jesus glory and strength. (Ancient Hebrew)

    Hyperlink (5) Shows :-

This hyperlink looks at emails from various translators such as Eric Livingstone and Jeff Benner regarding how to translate nouns as Names of Divine Beings.

This webpage also investigates those who say where does Scripture say "GOD the Holy Spirit"?

Ps 143:10 Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.(KJV)

Notice the translators spoil what could also be a title for a member within Elohiym.

Ps 143:10 Teach me to do thy will; "Elohiym Ruwach" is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.(Ancient Hebrew)

In English this title says "God the Holy Spirit".

So this webpage gives a taste of dealing with special nouns side by side in Hebrew, assuming even if words ever existed in the original Ancient Hebrew script.

So the mixing intended by GOD came upon His language for a reason, we all have to deal with mixing of man's ideas and GOD's truth, as best we can.

Next we look at Scripture style, as a flow of pictograph letters. Such a style is called poetry by scholars. And GOD created this poetry style from the beginning. Technically GOD gave mankind in the beginning the "one lip" as pictures sounds, or poetry.

Why did GOD create "one lip" based on picture sounds? Because such a language is the fastest, nicest and quickest way to express meaning, while listeners get different pictures makes it all the more fun.

Next we look at Scripture Style.
