Genuine Faith
The Bible defines genuine faith here:
Ho 14:2 Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say him, ...
So... "take with you words"
"turn to the LORD",
is about Attitude,
"say to Him", - is about "prayer", faith begins on the tongue in prayer - so ask for this: speak a "faith promise"
in your mind - or formally on bended knee
Notice what our Hebrew English translator says:
EGW: "And now, my brother and sister, while you are both alive, take this precious time to appropriate by faith to yourselves the precious promises of the Word of God . I am thankful that you are both presenting yourselves as humble seekers for the pardon of all sin. This is your privilege. Do not disbelieve. {2SM 255.2}
Mrs White terms "taking with you words" His "precious promises" . We term them "faith foods"
or "special seeds" or "faith promises". You read His verses you want power from, and say some of those words as you own experiences of your need. You ask Jesus and you receive His divine flow for that need.
James 2:18 .. and I will shew thee my faith works.
Only by doing genuine faith can we bear His fruit from a flow of His doings in us.
How is this achieved? Easy. By asking. When you ask - you must have attitude of gratitude.
You faith begins on the tongue in prayer and ends on the tongue in praise !
Ho 14:2 Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say, unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.
And the words you take become a faith promise in your mind as you read the Word.
Hence reading the Bible increases your faith.
And as you ask every hour for His powers to do in you, the faith promises do in you.
Hence praying is increasing your faith. Fight the good fight of faith.
