sin, hyssop, baptism

( 211 ) Ps 51:7 Purge "chata'" me with hyssop , and I shall be clean : wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow .

.. sin .. What a strange context for this word "sin me with hyssop " ??

Ps 51:7 Sin "chata'" me with hyssop "'ezowb", Sin me with hyssop ?? and I shall be clean "taher": hyssop is used to transfer David's sinning wash "kabac" me, by the act of washing and I shall be whiter "laban" than snow "sheleg". in the way lepers were declared clean

One would have to study hyssop to understand this context.. The washing is another literal symbol of a sin-offering removal of sinning, perhaps today for us a symbol of baptism, and foot washing, two symbolic methods of sin-offering today for modern Christians.

( 212 ) Ps 78:17 And they sinned "chata'" yet more against him by provoking the most High in the wilderness .

.. sin ..

( 213 ) Ps 78:32 For all this they sinned "chata'" still, and believed not for his wondrous works .

.. sin ..

( 214 ) Ps 106:6 We have sinned "chata'" with our fathers , we have committed iniquity , we have done wickedly .

.. We have sinned ..

( 215 ) Ps 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart , that I might not sin "chata'" against thee.

.. mine heart that I might not sin ..

( 216 ) Pr 8:36 But he that sinneth "chata'" against me wrongeth his own soul : all they that hate me love death .

.. sin ..

( 217 ) Pr 11:31 Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth : much more the wicked and the sinner "chata'".

.. much more the wicked and the sinner ..

( 218 ) Pr 13:22 A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children : and the wealth of the sinner "chata'" is laid up for the just .

.. and the wealth of the sin .. The good things that flows from a relationship connection are passed onto our children, is a symbol of the flow of good things when the sinner is completely restored to Jesus..

.. that despiseth his neighbour sins, ..

( 220 ) Pr 19:2 Also, that the soul be without knowledge , it is not good ; and he that hasteth with his feet sinneth "chata'".

.. that hasteth with his feet sin ..
