What works do the Ten Commandments tell us?

Q5: What works do the Ten commandments tell us ?

Mt 19:18 He saith unto him, Which?

Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, ..fruit of Power Principle..
Thou shalt not commit adultery, ..fruit of Home Principle..
Thou shalt not steal, ..fruit of Home Principle..
Thou shalt not bear false witness, ..fruit of Saviour Principle..
Honour thy father and thy mother: and, ..fruit of Power Principle..
Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. ..Summary of fruits to others..

Jesus begins with human works the man had been achieving in his own eyes, and moved towards other fruits he had not been achieving so well. The principles of love to GOD (1,2,3,4) Jesus left out. He only mentions the human works (6,7,8,9,5) and leaves out (10).

Ex 20:2 I am the LORD thy God, I AM your Saviour..
Ex 20:3 Thou shalt no other gods ... I AM your home power..
Ex 20:7 No take MY name in vain;. I AM your prayer power..
Ex 20:8 Remember the sabbath day.. I will share you..
Ex 20:12 Honour thy father and thy mother: fruit of Power Principle
Ex 20:13 Thou shalt not kill. fruit of Power Principle
Ex 20:14 Thou shalt not commit adultery. fruit of Home Principle
Ex 20:15 Thou shalt not steal. fruit of Home Principle
Ex 20:16 No.. false witnessing about others... fruit of Saviour Principle
Ex 20:17 Thou shalt not desire.. fruit of Saviour Principle

Look carefully at the ten principles of salvation, looking at the order of Jesus' presentation. Jesus leaves out love to God, and only focuses on perhaps what the man could achieve ? May we see the futility of "self powered" commandment keeping. Shalom
