talents of silver

( 151 ) 1Ki 20:39 And as the king passed by , he cried unto the king : and he said , Thy servant went out into the midst of the battle ; and, behold, a man turned aside , and brought a man unto me, and said , Keep this man : if by any means he be missing , then shall thy life be for his life , or else thou shalt pay a talent of silver "keceph". {pay: Heb. weigh}

.. shalt pay a talent of silver .. This is a symbol later on for the parable of the talents of money We miss the story of the talents thinking about the cost

Mt 25:15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.

The man of five talents felt his gratitude to Jesus for his soul was purchased with incredible cost from the Satanic battle field warring in his soul.

The man of two talents felt lesser gratitude but loved His lord Jesus for freeing him from the Satanic war over his soul.

The man of the one talent, even though a talent of silver was a huge amount of money, felt no real attitude of gratitude and was afraid of Jesus, and his new bought freedom. Why was He fearful ? Fearful of whom ? He was really afraid of changes to himself ? Changes that Jesus could bring to his heart . The will fumbled over a decision. So the man shrank back into Baal religion with Satan, it seemed too hard to change, and he remained with the devil he loved.

The parable of Simon and Mary both purchased with different amounts of silver over this war of Satan for our souls illustrates the battle in different words :

Lu 7:44 And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.

Think of the cost of salvation to Jesus ! Now ponder the cost of salvation to you... It cost Jesus millions of dollars of silver and gold to purchase you from Satan, and all Jesus wants back is our pennies and mites of gratitude....!! How ungrateful we are to Him about the cost of salvation Jesus bought unto Himself on our behalf. Such are just two stories about the cost of salvation. Shalom

( 152 ) 1Ki 21:2 And Ahab spake unto Naboth , saying , Give me thy vineyard , that I may have it for a garden of herbs , because it is near unto my house : and I will give thee for it a better vineyard than it; or, if it seem good to thee , I will give thee the worth of it in money "keceph". {seem...: Heb. be good in thine eyes}

.. thee the worth of it in silver .. You cannot buy, steal or kill another person for his vineyard A vineyard is a symbol of the love of Jesus flowing into your heart. Another person's love cannot be transferred unto you.. You think purchasing a man's heart, the man might receive some power ....However there is some evidence such a literal transfer can and does occur.

Elisa received a transfer of love from Elijah's heart when he picked up Elijah's mantle.

A man married a godly woman and receives a godly influence from her heart into his heart.

A man can receive an implanted heart from a donor and recieve the emotions and feelings of the other person when they were alive. The reason for this is because the heart is like a "mini-brain" storehouse for emotional thought. The Bible suggests the literal heart is a storehouse for feelings. Just a theory of faith you may want to ponder.

Many assume the heart is the mind, the Bible speaks symbolically of the heart in this way. But a careful reading suggests otherwise. The heart and mind are two organs different from each other and storehouses of thought. There is a Hebrew word for the mind and heart.

God condemns Ahab from his actions because he does the transfer of love from evil methods.

( 153 ) 1Ki 21:6 And he said unto her, Because I spake unto Naboth the Jezreelite , and said unto him, Give me thy vineyard for money "keceph"; or else, if it please thee, I will give thee another vineyard for it: and he answered , I will not give thee my vineyard .

.. Give me thy vineyard for silver ..

( 154 ) 1Ki 21:15 And it came to pass, when Jezebel heard that Naboth was stoned , and was dead , that Jezebel said to Ahab , Arise , take possession of the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite , which he refused to give thee for money "keceph": for Naboth is not alive , but dead .

.. he refused to give thee for silver ..

( 155 ) 2Ki 5:5 And the king of Syria said , Go to , go , and I will send a letter unto the king of Israel . And he departed , and took with him ten talents of silver "keceph", and six thousand pieces of gold , and ten changes of raiment . {with...: Heb. in his hand}

.. two talents of silver ..

( 158 ) 2Ki 5:26 And he said unto him, Went not mine heart with thee, when the man turned again from his chariot to meet thee? Is it a time to receive money "keceph", and to receive garments , and oliveyards , and vineyards , and sheep , and oxen , and menservants , and maidservants ?

.. Is it a time to receive silver ..

( 159 ) 2Ki 6:25 And there was a great famine in Samaria : and, behold, they besieged it, until an ass's head was sold for fourscore pieces of silver "keceph", and the fourth part of a cab of dove's dung for five pieces of silver "keceph".

.. .. sold for fourscore pieces of silver ..five pieces of silver ..

( 160 ) 2Ki 7:8 And when these lepers came to the uttermost part of the camp , they went into one tent , and did eat and drink , and carried thence silver "keceph", and gold , and raiment , and went and hid it; and came again , and entered into another tent , and carried thence also, and went and hid it.

.. drink and carried thence silver ..
