Q29: 36. . . .The Touch of Faith

Show the Desire of Ages is inspired..

(1) The touch of faith..

Peter, ever ready to speak, said, "Master, the multitude throng Thee and press Thee, and sayest Thou,Who touched Me?" Jesus answered, "Somebody hath touched Me: for I perceive that virtue is gone outof Me." The Saviour could distinguish the touch of faith from the casual contact of the careless throng.Such trust should not be passed without comment. He would speak to the humble woman words ofcomfort that would be to her a wellspring of joy,--words that would be a blessing to His followers tothe close of time.

Lu 8:46 And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue (dunamis) " G:1411" "wonder" is gone out of me.

There is no Hebrew word for power or virtue, so much for NT translations and Greek translations of the NT Hebrew. The closest Hebrew word seems to be "wonder".

Ac 19:11 And God wrought special miracles (dunamis) "G:1411" "wonders" by the hands of Paul:

De 29:3 The great temptations which thine eyes have seen, the signs, and those great miracles (mowpheth)"H:4159" "wonders":

Notice the changes to meanings:

Mt 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. (KJV)

Mt 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with wonder and great glory. (KJV)

Ac 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: (KJV)

Ac 1:8 But ye shall receive wonder, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: (Ancient Hebrew)

Joel 2:30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. Joe 2:31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.

Jesus comes in the clouds as a wonder... which includes power and glory and beauty !

Hebrew is a broader language with concrete meanings.

The Spirit of Prophecy says ... He would speak to the humble woman words ofcomfort that would be to her a wellspring of joy,--words that would be a blessing to His followers tothe close of time.

Where in the Holy Writings does this term "wellspring of joy" come from?

Ps 36:9 For with thee [is] the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.

GOD is a wellspring of life

Pr 5:18 Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth.

Our wellspring is blessed

Pr 10:11 The mouth of a righteous [man is] a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.

Words correctly spoken is a wellspring of l ife..

Pr 18:4 The words of a man's mouth [are as] deep waters, [and] the wellspring of wisdom [as] a flowing brook.

Wellspring of wisdom...

No where that the Author knows of does the Holy Writings use "Wellspring of joy", but this does not make the SOP wrong in making such a term, as the above verses show..GOD is a wellspring of life, and for the women with faith in Jesus...His words to her were a wellspring of joy !

Notice the women had a touch of faith, not a careless touching of Jesus, as the other people in the crowd did. Many people claim to be Christian and know about Jesus, but they do not have a relationship with Him.

Many people scoff those who have knowledge of the Holy Writings...

Ho 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me:

  • seeing thou hast forgotten the law (torah) "teachings" of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

The Hebrew word knowledge here is through the "door of our soul, our eyes see the cross".

Thus the knowledge of the teachings bring us daily to Jesus... the teachings are a tutor, or schoolmaster, to make us appreciate our relationship in Jesus.

Ga 3:5 He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? (KJV)

Ga 3:5 He therefore that ministereth to you the Holy Spirit, and does wonders among you, does he do it by doing the teachings, or by the hearing of faith? (Ancient Hebrew)

When we read the "WORD" in the Holy Teachings of Jesus, doing what the teachings say to do, does not make us have wonders from the Holy Spirit. We have to pray that the WORD we read is planted by Jesus and the Holy Spirit so that the power of the Father can flow; thus we come to GOD in relationship. It is the "relationship restored" that causes wonders to flow through you. The "WORD" only teaches you how such faith is activated... Does this make sense?

Ho 4:13 They sacrifice upon the tops of the mountains, and burn incense upon the hills, under oaks and poplars and elms, because the shadow thereof is good: therefore your daughters shall commit whoredom, and your spouses shall commit adultery.

The teachings serve to show us how "sin-offering" works in Jesus, and how enjoying Jesus' shadow or the Holy Spirit's shadow keeps us cool from the Father's superbright glory, until we are mature enough to endure Elohiym in all it's fullest reationship. But notice Satan has a religion of "sin-offering" of repairing the bad affects of sin on the mountain...we go to hospitals for medical repairs, to serve after a different medical procedure than what Scripture teaches, we enjoy Satan's good shadows of technology for disease management, indeed Satan's religion is good, though Satan has many different market brands for all people styles... but the end of this is adultery... what is adultery? A breaking away of relationship... a relationship with others .. apart from GOD.

And all this because we do not read the knowledge in the teachings of Jesus.

Ga 3:11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

  • 12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.
  • 13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:(KJV)

What Paul is talking about here is the teachings were also concerned with sin-offering...and the doing of the teachings became a curse for sin-offering, because the penalty of sin-offering is death... Thus Jesus had to do His own teachings on earth, as a human, but without sin-offering (without missing relationship a single instance with GOD)and thus by becoming a curse for us, redeemed us from the curse of the teachings... does this mean the entire teachings is cursed...no indeed... but now we have Jesus completing the cursed parts of the teachings, we can obey and live in the teachings, and through faith in Jesus we can enjoy His relationship, and do as Jesus did, because His power flows through us...

Ga 3:25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

Many say now we have Jesus, we no longer need His teachings... we live daily by faith in Jesus...Is this how faith works ? How can you claim a SEED promise, or take the WORD and sow it in prayer, if you do not know which WORD promise to sow ?And where do you find these 3,500 WORD promises of Jesus power to sow in the service of others ? Through Jesus teachings...

But Paul is saying we do not do the teachings in order to complete the sin-offering for our own sins... because we have already missed relationship in GOD ...no...we allow Jesus to do this for us...This does not negate the function of teachings, only make the teachings of Jesus more honourable...and special...

Unless you do the Science of Salvation daily how can you claim to have relationship in Jesus?

What is the Science of Salvation daily that I must do ?

Book of Jesus 14:1 O Israel, return unto the LORD thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity. 2 Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.

    (1) Return to GOD daily, knowing you are guilty of missing relationship with Jesus.

  • (2) Take the WORD of Jesus and turn homeward to Jesus. (Study His WORD and learn how to use it powerfully)
  • (3) Pray to Jesus, sowing a specific WORD promise, so you are received by Jesus graciously, in the service of others as well as yourself, you experience the training of Jesus teachings...
  • (4) Until you render the fruits of the Father, via the Holy Spirit, for with such "well-doing relationship" GOD is very pleased (Hebrew 13:16)

Heb 13:15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

  • 16 But to do good and to communicate (koinonia) forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. (KJV)
  • 16 But "well doing relationship" forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. (Ancient Hebrew)

Paul sumarizes the steps of Jesus into a single word "sacrifice of praise" .When you sacrifice something, you must know what to do, how to do it and specifically what the sacrifice is for...thus the reading of the WORD and the praying for the WORD in your heart, is a sacrifice of praise, for daily Jesus begins again in you for a speciic purpose, and the fruit of your lips gives thanks to His name. Thus you are trained to experience a "well doing relationship".

But you cannot achieve this unless you spend quality time reading the WORD, and praying to the WORD to develop WORD promises in you, so that the WORD power flows in you daily...thus you can walk as Jesus walked and do His wonders to others.

We need faith to achieve this, but faith is a gift of Jesus, so when you read the WORD and pray for a specific WORD of Jesus to be sown and grown in your heart today, believe Jesus will do what He says to do, and claim the promise of Jesus power in your life today...and enjoy this "well doing relationship".

This is the holy and special purpose of WORD study, and why it is important to study Jesus as the WORD in Hebrew.Jesus was a Hebrew, Jesus spoke Hebrew and Hebrew was the language GOD gave to Adam, the mother of all languages.

    (2) Genuine faith is life.

To talk of religion in a casual way, to pray without soul hungerand living faith, avails nothing. A nominal faith in Christ, which accepts Him merely as the Saviour ofthe world, can never bring healing to the soul. The faith that is unto salvation is not a mere intellectualassent to the truth. He who waits for entire knowledge before he will exercise faith, cannot receiveblessing from God. It is not enough to believe about Christ; we must believe in Him. The only faiththat will benefit us is that which embraces Him as a personal Saviour; which appropriates His merits toourselves. Many hold faith as an opinion. Saving faith is a transaction by which those who receiveChrist join themselves in covenant relation with God. Genuine faith is life. A living faith means anincrease of vigor, a confiding trust, by which the soul becomes a conquering power.

How much knowledge do we need to make faith in Jesus start in our heart?

Mt 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

    Smaller than a mustard seed...wow !!!

Here is one of the first Seed Promises the Author first tried in the Science of Salvation with Jesus:-

Jer 33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

Ask Jesus to wake you early in the morning at a specific time, believing He will... why early in the morning ? Sleep is a functional time slot for communion with GOD...

Ec 11:6 In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.

  • 7 Truly the light is sweet, and a pleasant thing it is for the eyes to behold the sun:

The Holy Writings teach an "early riser", not a "night owl", our eyes were functioned to see the red start of the early morning, so ask Jesus to wake you early in the morning. Often in my prayer I say to Jesus if you wake me early, you must also not rob me of my vigor I receive from sleep, and GOD does bless and respect my request.Your time spending time with Jesus' WORD will increase, and you will enjoy His presence in relationship.

Once you read Jesus as a WORD in His teachings, you will want to pray to Jesus. This is as simple as talking to a friend. There are many hundreds of prayers already written in the Holy Writings for you to also pray.

Here are some faviourite prayers with Jesus promises of power in them:-

    (1) Ps 1:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Since we grow as trees, ask the Lord of trees to help me grow beautifully for Him.

    (2) Ps 2:11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

  • 12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

Respect deeply your married partner Jesus, and kiss Him as a lover and a friend...what a prayer promise !

    (3) Ps 3:5 I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.

Believe and pray this promise every night, Lord when I sleep in your arms, sustain me and make me well.

    (4) Ps 4:3 But kn ow that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him.

  • 4 Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.

Know when you pray to Jesus on your bed at night, believe He will listen...sin not and pray powerfully words to Him.The sin "chata" means to miss, and when we are praying to Jesus in relatonship we are not missing Him...though some stiff necks pray words to themselves about Jesus...as a simple child in child like faith, do not miss on who you are talking to...Jesus loves the simple heart felt prayers of those who need His grace.

    (5) Ps 5:7 But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.

Worship Jesus in prayer means to be bent at the knee...towards his Holy Temple..means the high priest Jesus in His heavenly temple...and where is this direction we pray toward?

Eze 8:16 And he brought me into the inner court of the LORD'S house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east.

Sadly most churches are built by Satanic influences and so face East, but the design of Jesus' earthly temple to Moses, faced West when people prayed towards the holy temple. So out of respect to Jesus teachings, the Author prays formally on bent knees west towards my High Priest in heaven. But for any time of the day, as we walk we can talk to Jesus as a friend to a friend, whenever we want, at any time, at any place, in any direction.

    (6) Ps 6:2 Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak:

What a lovely simple prayer promise to pray to Jesus...O LORD remember I am weak..

    (7) O LORD my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me:

Other people will persecute you, so pray this prayer promise and claim Jesus' power you can trust...

As a teacher I once experienced this wonder in the classroom of naughty children I could not control, prayed to Jesus and immediately all things went quiet and well...I was amazed, even shocked at how simple and immediate Jesus power can flow...so often I was a teacher in my own human power, hopping between Jesus power and my own personal power...this is not how things should be, but we are weak, and learning to bury our old nature of human power takes time...

    (8) Ps 8:1 A prayer (psalm) of David.

  • O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.
  • 2 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.
  • 3  When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;
  • 4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
  • 5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels (elohiym) "family of GOD", and hast crowned him with glory and honour.
  • 6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:
  • 7 All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;
  • 8 The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.
  • 9 O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!

This short prayer is worth memorizing as a whole. It teaches us we are made a little lower than elohiym, than GOD himself, in His image, as a Family Being.Out of babes come language, scholars do not understand...GOD has programmed humans for language...we are wonderfully made !

.... (9) Ps 9:9 The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppress ed, a refuge in times of trouble.

When troubles come your way, pray this prayer promise that Jesus is a refuge for trouble...He carries us through...

    (10) Ps 10:2 The wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined.

  • Ps 10:12 Arise, O LORD; O God, lift up thine hand: forget not the humble and meek.

In this prayer, we are reminded how wicked people are lured by luxury devices of imagination, that fills their pride...But GOD loves only the humble and meek. A humble person looks out for others, and a meek person keeps his/her eyes on Jesus.

There are another 140 prayers recorded in the holy Writings...take the time to read them all and memorize prayer promises you like and add them to your words as you talk the WORD to the living WORD who hears you..

    (3) Ungrateful people..

When the ten lepers came to Jesus for healing, He bade them go and show themselves to the priest. Onthe way they were cleansed, but only one of them returned to give Him glory. The others went theirway, forgetting Him who had made them whole. How many are still doing the same thing! The Lordworks continually to benefit mankind. He is ever imparting His bounties. He raises up the sick frombeds of languishing, He delivers men from peril which they do not see, He commissions heavenlyangels to save them from calamity, to guard them from "the pestilence that walketh in darkness" and"the destruction that wasteth at noonday" (Ps. 91:6); but their hearts are unimpressed. He has given allthe riches of heaven to redeem them, and yet they are unmindful of His great love. By their ingratitudethey close their hearts against the grace of God.

Ho 13:6 According to their pasture, so were they filled; they were filled, and their heart was exalted; therefore have they forgotten me.

In the book of Jesus, we read, when Jesus pastures us with food, rain, coolness and blessing we are happy, and rise in pride, which opposes relationship, and so we forget Jesus, and walk alone, leaving the relationship to spoil. This is called the "Christian's Curse". Leaving fruit on a tree spoils the productive nature of the tree, causing it to eventually die. Why? Because fruit is the climax of producing produce. And unless we give away our fruits of the FATHER, via the Holy Spirit, we shall become fat filled and full of pride, forgetting GOD...And so our relationship dies. We must be doing. We must be giving. We must be loving. Instead we abuse the loving of GOD and selfishly keep it to ourselves.

During droughts farmers pray weakly for rain, and when rain comes, they no longer thank the GOD of heaven for the water of life. People are ungrateful.

Thank GOD you have arms and limbs...watch the video "life without limbs" if you do not know how to be grateful for GOD's blessings...

    (4) We are like a watered garden..

It is for our own benefit to keep every gift of God fresh in our memory. Thus faith is strengthened toclaim and to receive more and more. There is greater encouragement for us in the least blessing weourselves receive from God than in all the accounts we can read of the faith and experience of others. The soul that responds to the grace of God... shall be like a watered garden. His health shall spring forthspeedily; his light shall rise in obscurity, and the glory of the Lord shall be seen upon him.

Ps 92:12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

We are growing as Gardens of Eden. Whatever you do, where-ever you are, make your little world into a Garden of Eden, a place of Paradise..Jesus is your Paradise. Jesus is your Eden. We are the plants growing in Him. Shalom

And as we review His dealings with us in our pilgrimage, let us, out of hearts meltedwith gratitude, declare, "What shall I render unto the Lord for all His benefits toward me? I will takethe cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the Lord. I will pay my vows unto the Lord now in thepresence of all His people." Ps. 116:12-14

Is salvation something that happens only once? When Jesus saves us, do we experience His salvation only once forever?

Ge 49:18 I have waited for thy salvation, O Father-YHWH LORD.

There is a Hebrew word "YshWah" (3444) meaning "The active pressed secure eye sees. Behold the Being!".

2Sa 22:3 The God (elohiym) of my rock (tsuwr) "Father foundation rock" ; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation (yasha "noun form"), my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour (yasha "verb form"); thou savest (yasha "verb form") me from violence.

Some theories of faith that see "elohiym" as a single entity, thus the Father rock is our salvation, hence Jesus never pre-existed according to their theory of faith. But if we study all the verses of context for "elohiym" we see the term relates to "family powers of authority" and here we see the Father and His co-eternal Son, who acts as one who "saves" (verb) and one who completely saves (noun). The noun form of saving, is ongoing forever... why? because Jesus act to save us costs Him for eternity...

Zec 13:6 And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.(KJV)

Notice the noun and verb uses of "yasha" the Jesus who saves:-

Ps 18:2 The LORD (Jesus-YHWH) is my rock (cela) , and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God (el) "strong authority" , my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation (yasha "noun form"), and my high tower.

Here we see "Jesus-YHWH" as the cela rock of ages, who is our Strong Authority, our Saviour (noun form).

Ps 18:46 The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock(tsuwr "Father foundation rock"); and let the God (elohiym) of my salvation (Yasha "noun form") be exalted.

In the holy writings a little on in the 18th prayer of David, we see Elohiym "the Family of GOD whose heavenly Father's power flows" is the foundation rock for the flow of salvation from His Son, the "cela rock" that sits upon the "foundation rock", and they work in harmony with each other bringing salvation to mankind. Can the reader see the complex harmony in this prayer of David?

Want more proof? Here is the actual picture of the rock that Moses hit causing water to rush from the depths. (Moses height = E in Eben)

Ps 78:15 He clave the rocks (tsuwr) "Father fo undation rock" in the wilderness, and gave them drink as out of the great depths.

  • 16 He brought streams also out of the rock (cela "Jesus rock"), and caused waters to run down like rivers.

And here are the Holy Writings that make harmony out of the two rocks that work together bringing salvation to mankind.
