What is the restored covering?

What is the restored covering?

If a king invited you a banquet, you came into the palace and received from the cloak room your very own clothes fit for a king's party. Everything was provided, and all you had to enjoy was enjoy the grace.

Mt 22:12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.

Here was a man who refused to wear Jesus lost covering, and preferred to wear his own. Think about this, all the power of heaven is wrapped in this covering....and the believer thinks his own self-powered works are good enough.

2Ki 2:14 And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over.

Here is a man who picked up the lost covering of Jesus, and with it came all the power of Elijah. Why is it we do not believe in the power of the lost covering?

Isa 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Our own man-made covering is as filthy rags..full of guilt and worthless power, yet we use our self-powered works to promote salvation rather than the lost covering Jesus promises to those who believe and receive it.

Zec 3:3 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel. 4 And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.

What an amazing transformation. The filthy clothes we have is removed by the angels during baptism and we receive a change of raiment, the lost covering that only Jesus the King provides.

Lastly the lost covering restored in the New City of Zion, her people beaming with the brightness of light, the righteousness of the saints.
