Defining Secular Faith

Secular faith is human powered support

A Roman Centurion said Matthew 8:9 For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth;

And Jesus said Mt 8:10 .. I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.

So secular faith is a human supporting another human using human powers.

When you have faith in your surgeon you agree to sleep, while he using skilled human power to give you a heart transplant, and a new lease of life.

When you have faith in an air pilot, you agree to be calm, while he flies you in the sky, using skilled human power, to a new destination without an accident or crash.

Your support or faith is based on little evidence but you hope things go OK.
