(10) Finding new Faith Promises
If you are a child beginning in child like genuine faith, how do you go about finding new faith promises?
Jas 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally,
and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
You can ask God for wisdom to read the Bible more
seeking new experiences to "take takings with you as words" for "faith promises" (Hos 14:2).
Or you can ask the Lord in prayer to show you a "faith promise" He wants to give you.
"Lord show me a "faith promise" from your Word.
As you close your eyes, over the Bible, allow your fingers to move into the Bible book and place your finger, left or right, to find a passage in order to read. Thank the Lord for the passage.
Open your eyes and read the passage for gaining new experiences (takings).
Than make a new "faith promise" from what you have read.
For example : I will do this, even though I have been reading my Bible all my life:
1Co 14:27 If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret.
28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.
I have read this passage many years ago, but forgotten it's message. What "faith promise" is the Lord giving to me?
That depends upon you, your growing and your daily needs, so everybody can take/takings as their own needs allow.
I see this saying, if there is nobody in your Church wanting you to translate words for them, you should keep silent, and speak to yourself, and to God.
In Sabbath school classes, I have been too passionate to teach people correct Bible Hebrew translations, when they don't want to learn. In their pride most people do not want you teaching them, so I should keep slient instead. They prefer to remain "un-learned" trusting in their translations given to them.
Wow. That is some "faith promise" from the Lord !!
"Lord if nobody wants me to translate words for them, let me be silent to myself and to God"
Now this has got me thinking? Is there any "faith promise" to teach others?
Since I read my Bible electronically, I can search for the Hebrew word "teach" which is "yarah" I think?
Yes H3384, meaning in Ancient Hebrew : (I use Jeff Benners Ancient Hebrew Lexicon - as I can see the Ancient Hebrew letters that come with word meanings as picture words) : "The active hand of the Head "Behold the Being [as a teacher] !"
This is perfect Ancient Hebrew word meanings for this word, as a teacher points out things from his head using his hand.
Now I can search all words that use "yarah" :there are 75 verses in the OT.
Than I read all 75 verses looking for ones as a "faith promise" for a "Teacher"
Ex 4:12 Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.
"Lord you are my teacher, teach me what to say to them"
Ex 15:4 Pharaoh's chariots and his host hath he "will teach" into the sea: his chosen captains also are drowned in the Red sea.
A strange context, so I fixed the context correctly, the KJV is fuzzy. Pharaoh is teaching his army to follow him, and sadly many teachers lead their followers astray.
"When you are our Teacher Lord, we are never led astray"
Ex 24:12 ΒΆ And the LORD said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.
Notice Jesus-YHWH tells Moses what to write as Moses Teacher, and now the "teachings" teach us His words.
What language did Jesus-YHWH write? Hebrew
So let the "teachings" teach us His words. Is a Bible faith promise.
"Lord you are our teacher, let your teachings teach us"
2Ch 15:3 Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law.
A rare glimspe of a book we hardly read. It is fuzzy too. "emeth" is a "faith word" - "yarah" means a teacher and "torah" means teaching, not law as a lawyer would be interested in.
2Ch 15:3 Now for a long season Israel hath been without the faithful Elohiym, and without a teaching priest, and without teachings.
"Lord you have gifted me to be as You are, a teacher for your teachings"
Job 6:24 Teach me, and I will hold my tongue
"Lord teach me Your teachings"
JPs 27:11 Teach me thy way, O LORD,
"Lord teach me your way"
Pr 5:13 And have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me!
"Lord we are Your teachers on earth, help us to teach others functionally"
1Co 12:28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
So we have shown readers how new "faith promises" can be discovered using two methods.
I get the impression "given the gift of teaching" one has to teach others functionally.
But I also note the instruction I received from the Lord, when to be silent.
The hardest thing is to commit to memory all the "faith promises" you need for your every day needs.
At times the Lord Himself quotes "faith promises" and "verses" back into your mind too.
Shalom
