Human powered religion rather than the Spirit

(511) Ac 23:9 And there arose a great cry : and the scribes that were of the Pharisees ' part arose , and strove , saying , We find no evil in this man : but if a spirit (ruwach) or an angel hath spoken to him , let us not fight against God.

.. but if a spirit (administrated by the Holy Spirit) or an angel

(512) Ac 28:25 And when they agreed not among themselves , they departed , after that Paul had spoken one word , Well spake the Holy Ghost (ruwach) by Esaias the prophet unto our fathers ,

.. after that Paul had spoken one word , Well spake the Holy Ghost (ruwach) by Esaias

(513) Ro 1:4 And declared to be the Son of God with power , according to the spirit (ruwach) of holiness , by the resurrection from the dead :

according to the spirit-character (administrated by the Holy Spirit) of holiness

(514) Ro 1:9 For God is my witness , whom I serve with my spirit (ruwach) in the gospel of his Son , that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers ;

For God is my witness , whom I serve with my spirit-character (administrated by the Holy Spirit) in the gospel

(515) Ro 2:29 But he is a Jew , which is one inwardly ; and circumcision is that of the heart , in the spirit (ruwach) , and not in the letter ; whose praise is not of men , but of God .

.. and circumcision is that of the heart , in the spirit-character (administrated by the Holy Spirit) , and not in the letter..

Paul is speaking of human powered religion based on human works is like handwriting, and hand cutting of flesh..it's legalism..doing holy things without being holy in the mind...it's the skin deep lover of GOD, all good on the outside but rotten on the inside..by their fruits ye shall know them...The Holy Spirit circiumises the heart with moral attitudes, not as the letter of the Ten Comamndments does with moral behaviour (often punishable as a crime by Governments).

Many teachers have unruly students in school and often say what are we doing wrong? You cannot legislate moral behaviour with rules, threaten punishments and discipline (either hard or soft)...No ! moral attitudes can only come from a connection to GOD through the Holy Spirit. Only when the moral attitude is divined empowered, will students love to obey the letters of any Law. Most Governments use fear or punishment to enforce good behaviour, and this works only to a degree.

This is what Paul was talking about, those who obeyed rules only out of obligation, not out of God empowered Love. You cannot become "saved" by doing "good" in human power works, however one in love with GOD, does allow God's works to flow through them as fruits of God's seeds sown.

(516) Ro 5:5 And hope maketh not ashamed ; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost (ruwach) which is given unto us .

.. the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost (ruwach) which is

(517) Ro 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law , that being dead wherein we were held ; that we should serve in newness of spirit (ruwach) , and not in the oldness of the letter .

.. we should serve in newness of spirit-character (administrated by the Holy Spirit) , and not

See comment earlier. We cannot obey without divine powers in us...otherwise our obedience is based on human power...human power achievement is called in Scripture: "Baal", a heart effort that comes to nothing.

(518) Ro 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus , who walk not after the flesh , but after the Spirit (ruwach) .

.. in Christ Jesus , who walk not after the flesh , but after the Spirit-character (administrated by the Holy Spirit) .

(519) Ro 8:2 For the law of the Spirit (ruwach) of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death .

For the TORAH-teachings of the Spirit (administrated by the Holy Spirit) of life in Christ Jesus hath set me free from the TORAH of sin-offering and death.

In no way does this verse say we are free from torah...TORAH Scripture shows us how to confess and forsake our sinning...the Torah teachings also say because of sinning we must die, thus we come to Jesus our sin bearer, and confess our sin-offering to Jesus to take our sin-offering away.

(520) Ro 8:4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us , who walk not after the flesh , but after the Spirit (ruwach) .

.. who walk not after the flesh , but after the Spirit-character (administrated by the Holy Spirit)
