Winning souls is wise

( 51 ) Pr 10:14 � Wise "chakam" men lay up knowledge : but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction .

( 53 ) Pr 11:30 � The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life ; and he that winneth souls is wise "chakam". {winneth: Heb. taketh}

.. he that winneth souls is wise .. Winning souls makes us wise... Witnessing is a part of Jesus work in us... Fruit bearing is a sign of His powers working in us..

( 54 ) Pr 12:15 � The way of a fool is right in his own eyes : but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise "chakam".

.. hearkeneth unto counsel is wise . Notice the contrast to the wise, is the self powered "human-god" who is right in his own eyes. So the self indulgent is a poor listener, So the self indulgent is not wise So the self indulgent does not listen to others So the self indulgent is not one who bears good fruit The self indulgent is selfish, not willing to share or be cheerful.

( 55 ) Pr 12:18 � There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword : but the tongue of the wise "chakam" is health .

.. pride but the lips of the wise .. Notice the wise have sweet lips, but the self powered self indulgent ones are rods of pride !!

( 60 ) Pr 14:16 � A wise "chakam" man feareth , and departeth from evil : but the fool rageth , and is confident .
