Health advice from Scripture

( 11 ) Le 11:27 And whatsoever goeth upon his paws , among all manner of beasts that go on all four , those are unclean "tame'" unto you: whoso toucheth their carcase shall be unclean "tame'" until the even .

.. .. go on all four those are unclean ..their carcase shall be unclean ..

( 12 ) Le 11:28 And he that beareth the carcase of them shall wash his clothes , and be unclean "tame'" until the even : they are unclean "tame'" unto you.

.. .. wash his clothes and be unclean ..until the even they are unclean .. Out of the basket flows strong, the diseases if we are not careful to wash our clothes, wash our hands and so on.

Washing is an interesting thing. Today we assume we have to kill all forms of life as if all micro-organisms were bad. They arn't. Killing all microbes is a poor way to health, because only the very bad survive and the weak are killed off by your chemicals.

A better way is the Hebrew way. Washing in water. Plain ordinary water. No soap. No detergent. No disinfectant Nothing, just plain water. WHAT ?

Yes plain ordinary water is all you need. Sometimes for new born babies they bathed them in camel urine as a mild antiseptic to ward off some mirco-organisms. So a little common sense prevails here.

At home in my kitchen, since my cooking is only boiling, steaming and baking, never frying in oil or fat. The washing up of dishes does not involve grease. Hence I do not need to dissolve grease using a detergent or soap. So I wash my dishes and things under plain hot water. And leave them to dry, without even wiping them with a cloth. This way the microbes that live on my plate and pots will be the same microbes my body is used to. The many weaker ones and the fewer bad ones. But the competition of the many weaker ones beat the fewer strong ones when food is on my plate, and so the germs have no chance to become multiplied in number. I have washed dishes in this way for years, without problems. Only rarely do I use detergent if I have to remove grease.

Washing the clothes is a little different. Since the human body makes grease everyday, to protect itself from germs this fat and oil dies on the skin, and in private areas, and gets into our clothes, and decays. And like any protein that dies, it smells, as it rots away. So washing in plain water doesn't really remove the grease from our skin or the grease from our clothes, you need a little detergent or soap. These products are excellent in dissolving fatty proteins, oils and fats away in water.

When you wash your skin, use a calcium based soap if you can find such a product, rather than a sodium based soap. Calcium based soap is milder, less lather and are kinder on your health than a sodium based soap. In the olden days such soaps were made from Lye, which was fire ash dissolved in water making calcium hydroxide. Modern soaps are made from sodium hydroxide. The caustic nature of modern soap is bad on the skin, and the excess sodium is absorbed by the skin making our blood imbalanced with too much sodium. I have not sourced where Lye soaps can be purchased, and so I use sodium based soaps because I have no choice.

( 13 ) Le 11:29 These also shall be unclean "tame'" unto you among the creeping things that creep upon the earth ; the weasel , and the mouse , and the tortoise after his kind ,

.. unclean ..

( 14 ) Le 11:31 These are unclean "tame'" to you among all that creep : whosoever doth touch them, when they be dead , shall be unclean "tame'" until the even .

.. .. unclean ..when they be dead shall be unclean .. We are to watch out for the creeping things that spread disease. The flies, the mossies, and the cockroaches that creep in our houses. We are not to touch them, and to be careful in killing them and removing them. Another creeping thing of disease is the rat, and mice. Another is the flea. Another is the bed lice. Another is head lice. All these animals creep and are carriers of disease, some carry really bad disease. Watch out for these creeping things and remove them from your house.

( 15 ) Le 11:35 And every thing whereupon any part of their carcase falleth shall be unclean "tame'"; whether it be oven , or ranges for pots, they shall be broken down : for they are unclean "tame'", and shall be unclean "tame'" unto you.

.. .. .. carcase falleth shall be unclean ..be broken down for they are unclean ..for they are unclean and shall be unclean ..

( 16 ) Le 11:38 But if any water be put upon the seed , and any part of their carcase fall thereon, it shall be unclean "tame'" unto you.

.. thereon, it shall be unclean ..

( 17 ) Le 11:47 To make a difference between the unclean "tame'" and the clean , and between the beast that may be eaten and the beast that may not be eaten .

.. To make a difference between the unclean ..

( 18 ) Le 13:11 It is an old leprosy in the skin of his flesh , and the priest shall pronounce him unclean "tame'", and shall not shut him up: for he is unclean "tame'".

.. .. and the priest shall pronounce him unclean ..shall not shut him up: for he is unclean .. The priest was doctor of disease. In primitive societies Satan made use of this role and created the Religious man called the Medicine Man or the Witch Doctor. They were powerful men. Like the Hebrew priest they could heal you of sin, disease (a symbol of sin) and other maladies.

( 19 ) Le 13:15 And the priest shall see the raw flesh , and pronounce him to be unclean "tame'": for the raw flesh is unclean "tame'": it is a leprosy .

.. .. and pronounce him to be unclean ..for the raw flesh is unclean ..

( 20 ) Le 13:36 Then the priest shall look on him: and, behold, if the scall be spread in the skin , the priest shall not seek for yellow hair ; he is unclean "tame'".

.. yellow hair he is unclean ..

Notice the simple looking for disease symptoms..
