rebuking with strong words

( 11 ) 1Ch 16:21 He suffered no man to do them wrong : yea, he reproved "yakach" kings for their sakes,

.. do them wrong yea, he rebuke ..

( 12 ) Job 5:17 Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth "yakach": therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty :

.. the man whom God rebuke , despise not the chastening of the Shadday.. Here is a Bible poetry parallel here

(1) God "elowahh"correcteth"yakach"
(2) Almighty "Shadday" chastening "muwcar"

A parallel in Bible poetry show one idea expressed two different ways. In English we call them a simile. Thus "yakach" is a similar concept to "muwcar". They are similes.

( 13 ) Job 6:25 How forcible are right words ! but what doth your arguing "yakach" reprove "yakach"?

.. .. words but what doth your rebuke ..but what doth your arguing rebuke ..

( 14 ) Job 6:26 Do ye imagine to reprove "yakach" words , and the speeches of one that is desperate , which are as wind ?

.. Do ye rebuke with words, ..

( 15 ) Job 9:33 Neither is there any daysman "yakach" betwixt us, that might lay his hand upon us both . {any...: Heb. one that should argue} {daysman: or, umpire}

.. rebuke ..

( 16 ) Job 13:3 Surely I would speak to the Almighty , and I desire to reason "yakach" with God .

.. and I desire to rebuke .. Another poetry parallel.

(1) God "el"reason"yakach"
(2) Almighty "Shadday" speak "dabar"

A parallel in Bible poetry show one idea expressed two different ways. In English we call them a simile. Thus "yakach" is a similar concept to "dabar". They are similes.

This tells us that a rebuke can be from speaking words.

.. rebuke ..

( 20 ) Job 16:21 O that one might plead "yakach" for a man with God , as a man pleadeth for his neighbour ! {neighbour: or, friend}
