..They that cling to their wealth ..
The first Bible text of application for clinging..Here is the concept
of clinging to our wealth, as if it was a strong authority that
could save us. Money cannot save you.
Here the "self indulgent" sinner clings to other things,
apart from Jesus, in the hope that these things will save them.
( 42 ) Ps 52:7 Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength ; but trusted "batach" in the abundance of his riches , and strengthened himself in his wickedness . {wickedness: or, substance}
.. God his strength but clinged to his own riches ..
( 43 ) Ps 52:8 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God : I trust "batach" in the mercy of God for ever and ever .
.. the house of God I cling to the mercy of GOD ..
Mercy is the favour or the feelings of seeing the home of Jesus,
not the place of Jesus, but the person of Jesus. Remember
it is a person that makes the home, not the house.
The tree, a symbol of you the Christian grows by clinging
to the powers of Jesus, the life germinating principle. Without
Jesus, there is no life. Even the power of the breath of life
is a miracle of grace against eternal death every day....!
O sinner why would ye die....cling to Me and find life...!
( 44 ) Ps 55:23 But thou, O God , shalt bring them down into the pit of destruction : bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days ; but I will trust "batach" in thee. {bloody...: Heb. men of bloods and deceit} {shall...: Heb. shall not half their days}

( 45 ) Ps 56:3 What time I am afraid , I will trust "batach" in thee.
.. What time I am afraid I will cling to thee ..
( 46 ) Ps 56:4 In God I will praise his word , in God I have put my trust "batach"; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.

( 47 ) Ps 56:11 In God have I put my trust "batach": I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.

( 48 ) Ps 62:8 � Trust "batach" in him at all times ; ye people , pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah .
.. Cling in Him at all time ..
( 49 ) Ps 62:10 Trust "batach" not in oppression , and become not vain in robbery : if riches increase , set not your heart upon them.

( 50 ) Ps 78:22 Because they believed not in God , and trusted "batach" not in his salvation :
.. not in God and clinged not in His salvation ..
As the song goes, "Put your hand in the hand of the man who stilled
the water.... Put your hand in the hand of the man from Galilee...."
It's all about clinging...are you placing your hand in the hand of Jesus
