Jesus is gentle with backsliders

I will love them freely... What a lovely thought, Jesus will love us freely... If you know your are turning away every time the heat in on you than at least you are aware of the sinning problem.... And Jesus will love you freely.... How hard it is, when under stress from people to submit to the heat of trial and turn to Jesus instead of our own Baal human strength, a heart effort that flows to nothing.... So perhaps alot of our backsliding is sinning ignorantly ..

Then Judas , which had betrayed him , when he saw that he was judge-condemned , felt regret , and turned away "m@shuwbah" the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders

The Greek word "metamellomai" is not the Hebrew word "repent" or "shuwb" but comes from the Hebrew word "nacham" Strongs 5162, the idea of sorrow or regret for ones poor actions. See Hebrew 7:21 a direct quote of Psalms 110:4. Judas did not repent his actions. Judas had regret instead. He turn away the coins, meaning He threw them away and turned away himself from the elders, but did not return securely homeward to Jesus....he ended his life alone..

( 16 ) Lu 23:14 Said unto them , Ye have brought this man unto me , as one that perverteth "m@shuwbah" the people : and , behold , I , having examined him before you , have found no fault in this man touching those things whereof ye accuse him :
