Desire of Ages, Jesus our Creator, Jesus the Great I AM, Father's breath of life, God is singular, Messenger of YHWH, two families of Elohiym

Ch:1-7: The Desire of Ages

Show the Desire of Ages is Inspired..

INTRODUCTION: Let's look at a beautiful book called Desire of Ages written by Ellen White.

  • (1) The Author of this website has selected passages from this book to show the reader how perfectly the words are inspired because they show us correct Hebrew understanding of Scripture despite the words in English.

  • (2) The Author also wants to encourage readers to read SOP with passion because of it's ability to be a perfect Hebrew to English translation of Scripture.

  • (3) The Author wants to show readers how important "WORDS" are in Hebrew, because they are figures of Jesus. Thus we are encouraged to read Scripture for ourselves in the Hebrew.

METHOD: Selected passages are shown as they are found in the Desire of Ages. Thus the book is studied in it's entire context and is a different method for reading God's words.

DISCUSSION: Each passage is written in brown and discussed in blue. General comments are written in black before another theme is presented.

    (1) Jesus our Creator

It was Christ that spread the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth. It was His hand that hung the worlds in space, and fashioned theflowers of the field. "His strength setteth fast the mountains." "The sea is His, and He made it." Ps.65:6; 95:5. It was He that filled the earth with beauty, and the air with song. And upon all things inearth, and air, and sky, He wrote the message of the Father's love.

    Notice the Scriptures SOP quotes:-

Ps 65:5 By terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God "Elohiym" of our salvation "Yesha" ; who art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off upon the sea:

  • 6 Which by his strength setteth fast the mountains; being girded with power:

Ps 95:1 O come, let us sing unto the LORD "YHWH" : let us make a joyful noise to the rock "Father Rock" of our salvation "Yesha".

  • 2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.
  • 3 For the LORD "YHWH" is a great God "El" "one of strong authority", and a great King above all gods "Elohiym".
  • 4 In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also.
  • 5 The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.
  • 6 O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD "YHWH" our maker.

Jesus created using the love of the Father. If a reader does not investigate the Hebrew behind the Scriptures we have no way of validating how inspirational these Scripture selections of the SOP are.

    (1) He wrote the message of the Father's love...

First SOP says the Son and the Father worked together on Creation, it was the Father's love that Jesus spoke, when Jesus spread the heavens and made things from His hand. Therefore "Elohiym" which means the "Strong Authority of the FAMILY of GOD, whose Father's love flows" is shown to us by this SOP statement.

    (2) O God "Elohiym" of our salvation "Yesha" ;..

The Scripture "Elohiym" "Yesha" is identifying within the GODHEAD, yesha or salvation as a Being called Jesus, the one who was Creating our Universe through the Father's love.

    Elohiym - A FAMILY concept

Notice when Ellen White quotes these two verses from the Holy Writings, she is making Elohiym into a family concept of GOD with more than one member of GOD within the Godhead, and she is also saying the translated English term "LORD" and "salvation" are two terms to reference Jesus in the OT.

How many Seventh Day Adventist readers know this? Hardly any that I know because most Seventh Day Adventists read the Bible only in English, and do not read the Hebrew behind the English as the prophet Ellen White is encouraging us to do. In fact if you don't go looking for the Hebrew in these verses you do not find Jesus there at all. We have become so swamped by human traditions that we do not even see different spellings as the same Hebrew words, even if we actually bothered to try and read Hebrew words presented again by human scholars such as Strong's. So we again miss the Hebrew intentions of the true Hebrew presented in The Writings. Even today our scholars of Hebrew are swamped by the human traditions of reading The Writings in modern Hebrew, the Hebrew with Babylonian square script, complete with modern but wrong spellings. Such human traditions insist Hebrew had no vowel sounds, when Ancient Hebrew, the true Hebrew does have vowel sounds. So again even if people get to read Hebrew they will still be confronted with human traditions and human bias. It is only when we begin to read Ancient Hebrew and see how Hebrew words are related to each other, that we see how harmonious The Writings really are. God bless the reader for reading these words. Spend some time here on this website and learn how easy it is to read Jesus words correctly as He intended them to be said, without the bias of human scholarship and human traditions.

Practice reading SOP as a Hebrew to English translation of The Writings! Shalom

    (2) Love flows from one source

"I do nothing of Myself," said Christ; "the living Father hath sent Me, andI live by the Father." "I seek not Mine own glory," but the glory of Him that sent Me. John 8:28; 6:57;8:50; 7:18. In these words is set forth the great principle which is the law of life for the universe. Allthings Christ received from God, but He took to give. So in the heavenly courts, in His ministry for allcreated beings: through the beloved Son, the Father's life flows out to all; through the Son it returns, inpraise and joyous service, a tide of love, to the great Source of all. And thus through Christ the circuitof beneficence is complete, representing the character of the great Giver, the law of life

Consider texts that use "breath" and "life" :-

  • Ge 2:7 And the LORD "Jesus YHWH" God "Elohiym" formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath "nashamah" of life "chay"; and man became a living soul.

  • Ge 6:17 A nd, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath "ruwach" of life "chay",

  • Ge 7:22 All in whose nostrils was the breath "nashamah" "ruwach" of life "chay",

  • Job 33:4 The Spirit "Ruwach" of God "El" hath made me, and the breath "nashamah" of the Almighty "Shadday" hath given me life "chayah".

  • Ac 17:24 God "elohiym" (theos) that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord "YHWH" (kurios) of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
  • 25 Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life "chay" (zoe), and breath "nashamah" (pnoe), and all things;

  • the Father's life flows out to all; through the Son ...

The Father's life "chay" flows out to all as the "breath of life", but through Jesus, flows the "breath of salvation" or ongoing life "chayah". Notice this breath of life "chay", or breath of salvation "chayah"; are both administrated by the Holy Spirit.

Notice how simply and with child like perfection, SOP makes the statements so easy to read and believe, and one does NOT need to understand the Hebrew or get abused by scholars with their scholarship. Scripture is easy to read and understand, if we read Scripture with our Hebrew to English translator.

Seventh Day Adventists are fortunate to have the Spirit of Prophecy writings to assist us understand the Hebrew Writings, but many of us do not understand the "breath of life" is the Father's life force, administrated personally in us by the Holy Spirit? Most of us are baffled by the "breath of life" and see such things as a mystery... yet in SOP in this simple passage the Hebrew words are easily explained, if you carefully look.

    (3) GOD is referenced as singular..

Because God is a God of justice and terrible majesty, Satan causedthem to look upon Him as severe and unforgiving.

Elohiym is referenced as Him, singular... rather than "they" as "three Persons in a Family". Why is that ?

    (1) First The Writings was orginally written in Hebrew, and thus the people living in Hebrew are themselves a figure of Hebrew, the way GOD might live.In Hebrew, the major concern of Hebrew words is "verbs" or "actions" or "functions" NOT adjectives or nouns or labels. Since GOD is not of material, GOD is not of time; therefore GOD is beyond all these things.Since we are told GOD is a simile of light, LIGHT is not a single entity, nor is LIGHT subject to TIME, light is comprised of dozens of functional entities, and yet LIGHT that we see is only a small part of a FAMILY,a Family of the Electro-magnetic spectrum that had no origin, and is neither created nor destroyed.

In Hebrew the "fat her" is the "strong one in the home" is a descriptor of function or rank, not a label for higher powers. In Scripture all members in the Family are considered equal, but this was distorted after the Fall of Mankindwhen Adam and Eve were both found to be cognitively missing the vital connective power flow from themselves to GOD. Thus the relationship connection was broken, and mankind broke away even from the "biological internal human divine relationship" ( and that very day the "biological human divine relationship" daily dying died. Genesis 2:17)

Le 18:8 The nakedness of thy father's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father's nakedness.

This verse as do others in this chapter, clearly state that a wife's nudity is the same as a husband's nudity, neither shall anyone uncover. So when the two during marriage become "one in flesh" this is considered in Hebrew "literal" as well as the Hebrew word "Echad" meaning "united". This explains why the Hebrew word for "numerically one" or "yaccid" was also considered for "united as one" as with "echad".In other words, the Jews over time saw "Echad" to mean "numerically one" rather than "united as one in function".

We, with western Greek thinking; find it strange that in Hebrew, a family is really one functional Being, even though it is comprised of three members. (parental love + collective love)

When Adam was made from the dust of the ground this component of material is known as earthly flesh. The ongoing breath of the Father's life that is breathed into the person is a divine component that is adminstrated by the Holy Spirit continually for as long as the relationship continues. Thus for mankind to be "living energy" (nephesh or soul) there has to be a "biological human divine relationship" all the time.If the divine part of the relationship leaves the human part, the human part dies and falls back to dust from when it was made from. Thus death is really a bio-physical broken relationship, the absence of GOD with the human dusty component of man's flesh. Traditionally humans see death as a cessation of biochemistry, but this is not so, because finger nails continue living many months after a person "dies"...

So when man acts and thinks and does, do we consider this coming from the human dusty component or the divine presence of the Father's life inside the dusty component administrated by the Holy Spirit?Well we consider the "living energy" or the "living soul" to be a numerically one, or whole, the whole person speaks and does and thinks. We do not as humans consider that our very being is kept alive by the relationship of GOD inside us.

So who is the powerhouse of our soul? The Father is in relationship with us. But who do we say is the father of our soul ? We do, the human is in power of his own thinking... Notice despite the fabric of living is comprised of a relationship we humans consider we have the right to live as we please, as numerically one entity; but this concept is false, functionally yes we are numerically one entity, but we are actually a relationship with GOD.Therefore ELOHIYM is much like humans in this sense. Elohiym is a relationship of heavenly powers that react and inter-react with each other, but love flows out as numercially one from a single source for the benefit of others. Thus in this sense the Father is a Hebrew term for the "strong one in the heavenly home" refers to the way such a relationship functions. There is numerically a single relationship that functions, thus GOD is ONE.

When GOD made Adam from the dust of materialism, the wife for Adam was built from the Man, not from brand new materialism (Genesis 2:22 .."built" (banah) he a woman..). The man called his help mate wo-man because she came out from the man. Thus the creation of human relationships comes from a single source. The relationship of mankind as two humans is really numerically one human relationship, from one human being.

We might say in science, Eve was a genetic clon e of Adam, but Eve was NOT a personality clone of Adam, her way of loving was different to the way Adam loved. This is shown by the fact there are two Hebrew words for love. These two forms of loving come from within the way GOD built mankind as two personalities of love.

Maleness love is mostly shown by gender males, and the femaleness love is mostly expressed by gender females. This shows that even love is not seen as two words for love, but a relationship circuit of love, that the two forms of love are in fact a circuit of giving and receiving, that loving is in fact a relationship word.Because humans do not comprehend love in Personal humans very well, we fail to see LOVE as a RELATIONSHIP word, we see selfishly instead, are breaking the love function into something we ourselves do. But this is Satanic reasoning of selfishness, one cannot love self.

When we jokingly call our wife the better half, she is literally this, a complement of love for the man, the completed circuit of mankind, the two halves become a perfect expression of love in action, neither half is any more superior or inferior to the other, both become one, in a literal sense.

So we have to stop thinking about Elohiym as a family of three divine Beings, and think of Elohiym as a numerical single source of love, completed within the relationship generated by divine Beings, yes; but functionally such love is ONE, and refereced as "HIM" in the masculine pronoun in the Hebrew. And that's all the reference does, it references the functional relationship of love that flows from the Father to the Man.

But you left out mentioning the woman, the family son and the concept of us in the relationship. If you make a human family on earth, one needs a gender male and a gender female and they marry to procreate children in a family, so the concept of family is the idea that human materialism continues in the next "genderation" of family. But GOD is not like this, nor was the first human family made in this way.The first MAN of MANKIND, a figure of Elohiym, has ONE relationship, with a relational, loving circuit of him and her, to generate a single flow of love.

The reader should remember the SOP words :- " the Father's life flows out to all; through the Son it returns, in praise and joyous service, a tide of love, to the great Source of all. And thus through Christ the circuit of beneficence is complete, ...(Desire of Ages)

The first man was comprised of relationship (the human and divine) and the component for a love relationship circuit was already inside the man, when He was made (as a relationship too with the Divine). Thus the family circuit of love (or man and woman) was already completed in the human, GOD only brought it out as a help mate and divided the love relationship into two components of loving. We love GOD as the first four directions of maleness love and we love our Neighbour as the last six directions of our femaleness love response completing the circuit of love.

    (4) GOD is referenced via His messenger

This great purpose had been shadowed forth in types and symbols. The burning bush, in which Christappeared to Moses, revealed God.

Ex 3:2 And the angel "Malak" "messenger" of the LORD "YHWH" appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.

  • Ex 3:4 And when the LORD "messenger Jesus YHWH" saw that he turned aside to see, God "Elohiym" "the Family of GOD" called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and s aid, Moses, Moses.

A Jew sees these Holy Writings differently....

"And an angel of heaven representing the Father appeared to Moses in a flame out of the burning bush.and when the Father saw Moses turn, the Father called out to Moses.."

If the Holy Writings is as simple as that why are there three words "malak" "YHWH" and "Elohiym" and not a mention of Father "ab" or Father "eloah".Secondly such a notion makes the Father all alone, and love as we know is relational as a concept.Thirdly there is no mention of angels in the firey flames of GOD's presence, but only surrounding the presence of GOD.So this "angel like function" is found in the midst of the burning bush fire, must be a member of Elohiym. But Jews do not consider Elohiym as a "kind" word, with members within the "kind",but such pagan concepts of "elohiym" abound with this idea, that "Elohiym" as a Father god, a Mother god and Child like god had always existed. The pagan concept of Elohiym as three gods is a distortion of the haeavenly Elohiym because there is no such thing as three independent sources of love.True love flows only from a single source, via the Father, but is generated by divine members within, because love is relational.

A better view of the Holy Writings is to consider Jesus as YHWH and His Father as YHWH. Thus we have ONE Hebrew word for describing love as a functional circuit, but there are many components within that circuit, the Father and the Son are two of those components.

Notice Jesus functioned as an angel :-

Nu 21:8 And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent "saraph", and set it upon a pole:...

A "Saraph" is a special angelic function within the GODHEAD, which Satan was as well once before He sinned, thus we see here Jesus functioning as a "messenger" which is what the Hebrew word "malak" really means.Notice the messenger appears within the fire of the burning bush, as serphim functioned very near the throne of GOD.

But in Exodus 3:4 YHWH saw Moses turn and Elohiym called out to Moses. Who was YHWH who saw Moses turn? It must have been the messenger for His Father. Not the Father himself, otherwise Moses would not have lived. But if Jesus stood directly before Moses, would also Moses have died with this divine encounter ? Yes, but notice in Ezekiel a very detailed vision of how mankind meets with the heavenly Divine:-

Eze 1:4 And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind "ruwach" came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself,..

Notice we begin with the Holy Spirit acting as a medium for the fire with the burning bush...

  • Eze 1:5 Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures.

Next we see living creatures, who function as sephim or "saraph" or like "angelic powers"..

  • Eze 1:24 And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty,"Shadday" ..

Here we see the SHADDAY is a personal name for the functioning of the Holy Spirit.

  • Eze 1:28 As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD "Jesus YHWH".

Lastly we see Jesus YHWH, the messenger for His Father...

  • Eze 2:1 And he "Jesus YHWH" said unto me, Son of man, (a figure of Jesus ) stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee.

  • 2 And the spirit "Holy Spirit" entered into me when he "Jesus YHWH" spake un to me,

Notice the medium of the Holy Spirit envelops the man when Jesus speaks to Him, thus it is the Holy Spirit (not directly mentioned in Exodus 3) that causes mankind to survive the encounter with the heavenly divine.

Notice if the Holy Spirit already lives in all living things administrating the "breath of life (chay)" from the Father, why does the Holy Spirit enter again the Son of Man in vision? This is the "breath of salvation (chayah)" and the Holy Spirit quickens in us character or a "spirit" of ongoing living, which is a part of GOD's character known as "wind" or "spirit", a special power of love.

Notice how simply with child like faith the Desire of Ages pens out a passionate Scripture truth for us to read. How exciting it is to read the SOP with child like faith.

    (5) Jesus is the great I AM

By His humanity, Christ touched humanity; by His divinity, He lays hold upon the throne of God. Asthe Son of man, He gave us an example of obedience; as the Son of God, He gives us power to obey. Itwas Christ who from the bush on Mount Horeb spoke to Moses saying, "I Am That I Am. . . . Thusshalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I Am hath sent me unto you." Ex. 3:14. This was the pledgeof Israel's deliverance. So when He came "in the likeness of men," He declared Himself the I Am. TheChild of Bethlehem, the meek and lowly Saviour, is God "manifest in the flesh." 1 Tim. 3:16. And to usHe says: "I am the Good Shepherd." "I Am the living Bread." "I Am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.""All power is givenPage 25unto Me in heaven and in earth." John 10:11; 6:51; 14:6; Matt. 28:18. I Am the assurance of everypromise. I Am; be not afraid. "God with us" is the surety of our deliverance from sin, the assurance ofour power to obey the law of heaven.

Joh 6:48 I am that bread of life.

  • Joh 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world:
  • Joh 8:23 And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.
  • Joh 8:24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
  • Joh 8:28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am
  • Joh 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
  • Joh 9:39 And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world,
  • Joh 10:7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep
  • Joh 10:9 I am the door:
  • Joh 10:11 I am the good shepherd:
  • Joh 10:36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
  • Joh 13:13 Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.
  • Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
  • Joh 15:1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

Notice SOP says every time the New Testament records "I am" this is a reference to Jesus as the Great I AM. D oes Scripture bear this remarkable testimony to Jesus YHWH out ?

If the reader compares the above verses with the Textus Receptus in the Greek, the same two words are exactly the same as in Exodus 3:14, where Jesus says He is " I am ".

The same two Greek words for "ego eimi" are found in the OT Septuingt and the NT Textus Receptus, proving that SOP is correct, that Jesus YHWH is the Great I AM, the same figure of words in the OT as the same words in the NT.

Wow how incredible is the proof that Jesus is the Great I AM, the figures for our daily living, our daily walking and our daily source of salvation. How passionate is our reading of the SOP with child like faith. We can have absolute confidence the SOP is a perfect Hebrew to English translator of Scripture.

    (6) In heaven will come Two Families..

It is the "Son of man" whose name shall be called, "Wonderful,Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." Isa. 9:6. The I Am is theDaysman between God and humanity, laying His hand upon both. He who is "holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners," is not ashamed to call us brethren. Heb. 7:26; 2:11. In Christ thefamily of earth and the family of heaven are

    Page 26

    bound together.

Eph 3:14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

  • 15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
  • 16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

Notice SOP agrees with this NT Scripture, that Jesus is bridge of the family in heaven and the family on earth, from which He is named. From the Family in heaven, our heavenly Father reigns. And from the redeemed family on earth, our Redeemer Father reigns. Here we see the Hebrew word for "father (ab)" as the "Strong one in the heavenly home".We have therefore two broad family groups in heaven's elohiym kind. Is mankind made in the image of elohiym as a kind? Yes indeed.

Ps 8:5 For thou hast made him a little lower than "elohiym".. (not angels 'cherub')

So if mankind is a form like the heavenly elohiym kind, there are two families in heaven under the term "elohiym"...Jesus is our father of the family redeemed, and Our heavenly Father the head of the Family of GOD.Thus Jesus is a bridge between both families, an eternal link between both groups of family.

Notice how simply and easily SOP says this in the Desire of Ages, and we readers miss the passionate examples of truth found in Scripture, because we do not read the Hebrew behind the English. In Ephesians 3:14, the Father and Son are described in the heavenly family, and later in the verses is the Holy Spirit, whom by logic tells you is the Mother of the heavenly Family, but these terms are verbs of function, not names as we understand them in Greek thinking. Yet how blind we are to view the Desire of Ages words as simply with child like faith that the SOP presents them.

For more see readings from these links:-

    ........

    (7) Behold comes the first born..

The Saviour's coming was foretold in Eden. When Adam and Eve first heard the promise, they lookedfor its speedy fulfillment. They joyfully welcomed their first-born son, hoping that he might be theDeliverer .

Ge 4:1 And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man: "eth" the LORD "YHWH"..

If you look up all major "Scripture translations", not a single one understands the Hebrew term "eth" meaning the subject of the verb is "the"...so the translators all translate the verse "from the Lord" not "the Lord".

So why does SOP say this Holy Writing differently ? Because it is so...Eve named their first child YHWH believing the male baby was the promised YHWH to redeem them from sinning's curse.

How fantaskic that SOP knew this little known fact, only revealed by studying carefully the Hebrew passage.

The reader can have amazing confidence in our Hebrew to English translator.

But the reader would never know this, unless we read the Hebrew carefully behind the The Holy Hebrew Writings. Ellen White is encouraging us to read our "Bibles" and the The Holy Writings in Hebrew.Praise GOD we have prophetic writngs which enable us to do this if we read the SOP carefully with our "Bibles" back with the original words. Shalom

    (8) Behold comes a universal language..

When the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth His Son." Providence had directed themovements of nations, and the tide of human impulse and influence, until the world was ripe for thecoming of the Deliverer. The nations were united under one government. One language was widelyspoken, and was everywhere recognized as the language of literature. From all lands the Jews of thedispersion gathered to Jerusalem to the annual feasts. As these returned to the places of their sojourn, they could spread throughout the world the tidings of the Messiah's coming. For hundreds of years the Scriptures had been translated into the Greek language, then widely spokenthroughout the Roman Empire. The Jews were scattered everywhere, and their expectation of theMessiah's coming was to some extent shared by the Gentiles. Among those whom the Jews styledheathen were men who had a better understanding of the Scripture prophecies concerning the Messiahthan had the teachers in Israel.

If GOD is a God of order, we can expect only through his miracles that the universal language of Hebrew has pervaded every known language on earth. And since the Jews refused to make Hebrew a universal language, God saw that the gospel would be united into a universal language so the gospel would go to all the world. The 70 Jews who translated for Alexander the Great the Hebrew Writings, looked for a way to bridge many versions of spoken Greek with Hebrew, and so invented Kione Greek as a means to making Hebrew Writings known in Greek. The New Testament closely follows the Septuingt translation from the 70 Jews who first translated The Writings, showing that the New Testament Writings we have in Greek is actually a translation of the Hebrew.

SOP speaks in Jesus time the world was influenced under one world government and one language was widely spoken. It may surprise readers how widely Hebrew has influenced English as a 'universal language' today...

For more see the following links:

The NT was originally written in Hebrew

    Ancient Hebrew influences on Scripture

Ancient Hebrew letters are similar to modern English letters

    (9) Behold comes our Hebrew Interpreter..

Interpreter must come. The One whom all these types prefigured must explain their significance.Through nature, through types and symbols, through patriarchs and prophets, God had spoken to theworld. Lessons must be given to humanity in the language of humanity. The Messenger of the covenantmust speak. His voice must be heard in His own temple. Christ must come to utter words which shouldbe clearly and definitely understood. He, the author of truth, must separate truth from the chaff of man'sutterance, which had made it of no effect. The principles of God's government and the plan ofredemption must be clearly defined. The lessons of the Old Testament must be fully set before men.

Lu 24:44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

Jesus had to come to interpret the Hebrew OT Writings, as types and figures of Jesus' former rain, into a renewed setting in the language of humanity as Jesus' latter rain. This is what the New Testament is, the latter rains of Jesus' words on the Former Rains of Jesus words in the Old Testament. And if we are to understand the WORD of Jesus, in both the OT and NT, we must read the The Writings in Hebrew to align what Jesus is orignally saying in the former rains with His latter rains.

But the Pastors never preach like this, they interpret the Greek language of the NT, for the common people but fail to interpret those words back with the former rain of Jesus words in Hebrew with the OT.Such preachers believe the NT is completely different to the OT, and thus supercedes the OT. But this is NOT what the SOP is saying....Jesus came to interpret the OT Hebrew into a renewed language of humanity...not the strict legalism directions of living, the OT Jews had made the torah teachings in Jesus day. We forget, Jesus was Hebrew, and thus spoke and lived Hebrew.

    (10) There are two religions..

The principlethat man can save himself by his own works lay at the foundation of every heathen religion; it had now

become the principle of the Jewish religion. Satan had implanted this principle.

In presenting the sacrificial offerings they were as actors in aplay. The ordinances which God Himself had appointed were made the means of blinding the mind andhardening the heart. God could do no more for man through these channels. The whole system must beswept away.

Sin had become a science, and vice was consecrated as a part of religion.

Science was orginally Christian believers like Newton appreciating God's handiwork in Nature and types in Salvation, and thus tried to investigate such mysteries.. But today since Evolution science, man has changed their world view glasses and see all things through naturalism, not supernaturalism...thus such science has become a religion that mankind can "save" themselves.

Such human powered religion where man does as he pleases, trying to save himself, has a term in Hebrew "baal" which means a "masters religion", or man doing as he pleases.God's religion is also termed in Hebrew as the word "Hebrew" , which means to "cross over" from saving ourselves in our own strength, to relying daily on Jesus to do salvation for us. Notice neither religion is named.

That was a long but exciting introduction into how inspirational the Desire of Ages is as a book, about The Holy Writings.God bless the reader who hu ngers for GOD's words found in the original words of The Holy Writings, NOT relying on translated English words only...but faithfully seeking with the Holy Spirit as our teacher, the original words of truth in the Hebrew.
