| 6. Proving Jesus is salvation
Introduction
There is much confusion regarding the sounds of Hebrew and subsequent spellings from those sounds.
Thus Hebrew spellings can change over time.
Here are numerous examples, where the Hebrew functional descriptor follows a verb of action, from which they are 'Named'...
Hebrew people do not have 'static Names', they are functional descriptors of action.
So we would expect Lord Adonay Jesus to be symbols of 'yasha', which include the English words 'saviour' ,'rescue' and 'salvation'.
Of course many other theories of faith, do not accept this idea, so your welcome to whatever theory of faith you like.
We also have in Scripture various persons in the Old Testament who were typologies of Jesus in the New Testament, such people are Joshua (spelled Yeshua),
Hosea (spelled Yesha) , the beloved one in Song of Songs; and the 'Son of Man' references found in Daniel and Ezekiel.
Thus the symbolic representations of Jesus in the Old Testament are numerous.
So now, let's show examples of Jesus as the correct Hebrew spelling 'Yasha' in Old Testament Scriptures:-
Examples of Yasha
The very first verse with Yasha, is a reference to the heavenly Father, whose Elohiym powers flow.
So the heavenly Father is also a Saviour.
The very next major verse with Yasha, is a reference to the heavenly Son, who also is a horn of Salvation (Yasha).
So the heavenly Son is also a Saviour.
A reference to the heavenly Father of our salvation.
A reference to the heavenly Son of Yasha, and His Holy Spirit, who makes this salvation flow of power possible.
A reference to the heavenly Father, Son and Holy Spirit, all involved in salvation.
A reference to Jesus -YHWHW, and thy Yasha.
A reference to Jesus as the Yeshua of salvation. Or Yasha of salvation, (different spelling)
The Father gives Israel a Saviour, His Son...
Jesus , a strong Authority, is the Saviour during the Exodus.
There are TWO heavenly YHWH's here, the Father and His Son, whom the Father sends, to be our Saviour (Yasha).
This Yasha comes in person as Yasha, in Matthew 1:21.
If there are two Saviours, why does Scripture say there is no other Saviour besides?
One has to investigate all verses about a Saviour and see what this oddity here in the verse might mean... Perhaps the Saviour (Yasha) uses power from His Father,
but in order to truly save us from missing, we need a Saviour to come down to our level but without missing...hence we have only one system of salvation...
Again we have assumed Yasha is a Name...it's not a Name, but a functional descriptor of a verb of action, and there are several heavenly Beings involved in our salvation,
the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The many functional parts are united as a whole...there is no other Salvation system beside...there are many false religions of faith that make claim to other systems of salvation,
so this verse is correct in what it says....
This verse adds to the comment before, the heavenly Elohiym family powers flow, but there is one Strong Authority who is a Yasha that saves, only Yasha besides.
This is a difficult verse, for it suggests that the heavenly Father is our Saviour, from which the Elohiym family powers flow, but the power flows through His Son, also a Saviour (Yasha).
Again I see a system of salvation, not one heavenly Being involved in salvation, as some religions of faith might claim.
Why is the Hebrew like this ? and not say "I have waited for Yeshua?" Because salvation is not a single person, nor is YHWH here in the Old Testament, Yeshua. The YHWH here,'He who exists', is as powerful as the Father,
cannot save mankind until the full sacrifice is complete, and until this happens in a flesh made of the ground, in the lineage of fallen Adam's line, the Old Testament can only say
"I have waited for thy Yeshua O He who exists" the fully functioning Yeshua in human flesh has not yet arrived.
Why can't the verse say "I have waited for their salvation from the YHWH's of Elohiym?" Because this would imply two Beings save us implicitly, but salvation does not come from the individual work of Two heavenly Beings,
but from a single system of salvation through a single heavenly Being, the Son, but using the heavenly power of His Father, to rescue sinners from earth. Such a complex system of sustaining "sinners" and rescuing "sinners",
involves the co-operative effort of all the heavenly members of the Godhead.
Testimony concerning Yasha
Let's finish with a Jewish remark about their reading of Scripture concerning Yeshua, the Yasha of our Salvation.
"Something very interesting occurred one spring in St. Louis:
I was visiting in the home of our friends, Brother and Mrs. Charles Siegelman, and another
Jew was present there. He claimed Jewish orthodoxy for his creed. Of course the conversation
centered around Him Who is the Center of all things -- Jesus. This good Jewish brother
opposed the claims of Yeshua in the Old Testament verbally, and in a friendly fashion,
most violently. His best offensive weapon, he thought, was to fling at me and at all of us
there the well-known challenge:
"You can't find the name of 'Jesus' in the Old Testament; " and this he did.
I did not answer him directly, but asked him to translate for us from my Hebrew Bible,
Isaiah 62:11. Being a Hebrew scholar, he did so with utmost ease, rapidly, and correctly;
and here is what and how he translated that text verbatim: Behold, Yahweh has proclaimed
unto the end of the world. Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold thy yeshua
cometh; behold, His reward is with Him, and His work before Him. Just then he crimsoned
as he realized what he had done and how he had played into my hands, and he just fairly
screamed out,
"No! no! You made me read it 'thy Yeshua', Mr. Glass! You tricked me!"
I said, "No, I did not trick you, I just had you read the Word of God for yourself.
Can't you see that here SALVATION is a Person and not a thing or an event? HE Comes,
'HIS reward is with HIM, and His work before him.'
Then he rushed at his own
Old Testament, talking away frantically saying, "I'm sure mine is different
from yours." And when he found the passage, he just dropped like a deflated balloon.
His Old Testament was, of course, identical. All he could use as an escape from
admitting defeat was to deny the divine inspiration of the book of Isaiah." (quote from The Messianic Literature Outreach

Sure the Hebrew spelling of words may spoil things a bit, (yasha, yesha, yeshua) but the truth does come through if you take time to study it.
Finally let's study other symbols that Jesus is Lord in the Old Testament..
