Jesus the word-personified supports His Father

Q3: Discussion of Memrah

(2) De 32:1 Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.

2 My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:

3 Because I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe ye greatness unto our God.

4 {He is} the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways {are} judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he. (KJV)

The King James does a good job here, but some added words spoil things a little, and some meanings are lost in the translation.

The word "words" here is the noun form and means the complete action of saying something. What God is saying here is complete and trustworthy.

The word doctrine is the noun from for "take", a verb form. So the word actually means "takings". The KJV correctly understood this a doctrine, something humans take from takings and make into a human concept of understanding.

The word speech is the word "memrah" or the "word-personifed". This translated meaning by the Author is important, as we will see shortly. The word-personified is a simile of rain.

The word "LORD" or YHWH, is Jesus-YHWH because of the Hebrew word "emuwnah" is used with "el", and means the "Strong Authority of Support", the only Being who exists apart from the Father is His Son who supports His Father. This can also be written as the Father who supports us as followers of Jesus. Hebrew writes broadly, so mostly both meanings are likely.

The word "Rock" is "tsuwr" or "foundation rock of the Father".

Thus a better reading is:

De 32:1 Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.

2 My takings shall drop as the rain, my words-personified shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:

3 Because I will publish the name of the Father-YHWH: ascribe ye greatness unto our Divine Family Power,

4 The foundation rock of the Father, his work is complete: for his road judges: a Strong Authority {who} supports, without propensities, straight and straighter is he. (Ancient Hebrew)

The strong flowing Authority of a Divine Person, is the context here.

Why does the Author see this Hebrew word as "Jesus-personified" ?

(1) The rain is a simile of Jesus' power in His words. Rain makes plants grow. Words make Christians grow.

Ex 16:4 Then said the LORD unto Moses, Behold,

I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law (torah) teachings or "words", or no.

Notice the similes: rain / man / Jesus / word.

The Hebrew word "man" spelled in Greek as "manna" is really a simile of Jesus power, as rain, as words that have the hope of power. Such a concept is "faith", the true way we walk in Jesus, is by supporting His words or teachings of power.
